Slat crate construction with spring break helpers . . .

We don't often use slat crates, but on occasion this method works best for a piece. Here we've built a slat crate for a very large wall mirror. A solid crate would have added too much weight to an already very heavy piece. This will be partially disassembled and transported on site where it will be reassembled by our crew for a perfect fit to keep the mirror safe during transport!

Two other smaller mirrors and two marble table tops will also be crated in our standard solid crates.

Well . . . it's a bit of a squeeze today! The little truck is getting a work out. This and the one nested inside of it (swipe right) are ready for two chandeliers that will be going into storage. Each crate is built with a suspension system that supports up to 350lbs to safely transport these delicate pieces.

3 more crates built over the weekend, on their way out the door this morning. 🚛

Also included in today's service will be a cuckoo clock. 🐦🕰Getting the paperwork ready for this included a lesson on the English language for the young ones here at home. Yes, the two syllables sound the same. No, they are not spelled the same. Did you know the original German word for a cuckoo clock is Kuckucksuhren? I do now 🤣

Starting crate number one of . . . many (swipe to see what i mean) 😳

Pretty sure all those moves that DIDN'T happen in March, April and May have been booked for the last two weeks of August!

Any other feeling the same? I know local numbers are reflecting what we're seeing as a third party service provider.

We're here for all the , and work that needs to get done this August month end!

After a long (LONG 😬) social media break, sharing a glimpse of our Friday night work session. Yup, that's our lol.

Our business has shifted a lot over the past year. In some ways, this was planned (yay! 🎉) and in others not so much planned as hmm . . . managed as best we can (ahem, looking at you 🦠).

Wow. What a summer. It's been a while since a post hit social media from . We've been busy with the summer moving season, adventuring with our family and doing a huge overhaul of our back deck. We pulled out an old hot tub that hadn't worked since we moved in (11 years ago 😳) with help from , replaced the surface boards, removed the old vinyl from the upper deck and sanded and stained the whole thing.

It was a lot of work during what is a really intense time of year for us. But so totally worth it. Now my favorite place to work with the morning sun peeking through the leaves of the surrounding trees, or in the evenings with a citronella candle from .
