Booking rail in Europe can feel overwhelming. So many routes, classes, and options. Do you book directly with the rail operator or through a booking company? The honest answer: it depends.

Yesterday, while completing a client's train bookings, most legs went through smoothly, but the most important one kept showing an error. Support told me to relax and wait until closer to the date.

As good as that sounded, I know how busy those routes get and how quickly seats disappear. So I looked for another option, and a second booking system confirmed the seats right away. โœ…

Maybe a couple of years ago, I might have underestimated those timelines. Today, I'm grateful for the experience that helps me plan ahead and keep my clients' plans on track.

My must-dos for train travel in Europe: โœ๏ธ
โœ” Reserve your seats when you book
โœ” Leave time between connections. That 8-minute transfer is only great if you know the station!
โœ” Double-check your station. Many cities have more than one
โœ” Arrive 20โ€“30 minutes early
โœ” Pack light. You'll lift your own bags
โœ” Save your tickets offline
โœ” Validate paper regional tickets before boarding (especially in Italy)

Resort days are perfect for rest, and that's okay! But just beyond the gates are local flavours, culture, and memories waiting to be made. You don't have to choose one or the other. Even one half-day excursion, a local dinner, or a guided tour can turn a great vacation into a meaningful one, and you'll still have plenty of time for that swim-up bar. ๐Ÿ˜‰

One of the things I love about planning beach getaways is discovering properties that don't always make the popular lists.

This resort is a great example , no waterpark, no teen club, so if your family needs that kind of built-in excitement, it's not the right match. But the beach is the kind of view that stops you in your tracks: powdery, turquoise, tucked into a lush jungle setting, with a pool area that still feels vibrant and full of life.

This one is a great fit for families a little further past the little-kid stage, or couples traveling with older kids who'd rather spend their days on stunning sand than in the waterpark.

I've been diving into Globus's latest travel insights, and it turns out Canadian travellers have their sights set on two incredible corners of the world: Europe and Asia! ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ต

In Europe, the hot spots right now are:
