Don’t Let Disembarkation Day Be a Throwaway Day! 🛳️

Just because your cruise is over doesn’t mean your vacation has to end the second you walk off the ship! If you have a later flight home, there are plenty of ways to make the most of those last few hours!

Your cruise may be ending, but your vacation doesn’t have to end when you walk off the ship!

🚗 Rent a car:
Pick up a rental near the port and spend the day exploring at your own pace! Hit a nearby beach, grab lunch, do some sightseeing or check out somewhere you didn’t get to visit during your cruise. You can return the car at the airport before your flight, making it an easy way to turn a travel day into one more day of vacation. Plus, it gives you somewhere to keep your luggage while you explore!

🏨 Book a day room:
A hotel day room gives you a place to relax, freshen up, shower and keep your luggage while you wait for your flight.

🏖️ Hit the beach:
Find a beach close to the port, relax, grab some lunch and enjoy one last taste of the destination.

🛍️ Explore the city:
Check out local shops, attractions, markets or landmarks before heading to the airport.

☕ Keep it simple:
Enjoy one last breakfast or brunch, take a stroll and soak up a little more of the destination before heading home.

✨ Pro tip:
Don’t automatically book the earliest flight home on disembarkation day! Depending on the port you’re sailing from, I typically recommend booking a flight after 12:00 PM to give yourself enough time to get off the ship, travel to the airport and get through security. If your schedule allows, an even later flight can give you several extra hours to enjoy the destination.

✨ Pro tip #2:
Not sure what to do with your luggage? There are often luggage storage options available at or near the airport, port or hotel. Availability varies by location, so it’s always worth checking ahead of time!
