👹🎨 Make a Monster! A Fun Halloween Art Project 🎃👀

Let your students' imaginations run wild with a silly, spooky, or totally adorable Make a Monster art project!

All you need is a few simple art supplies:
📄 Construction paper
👀 Googly eyes
🧶 Yarn
🖍️ Markers
🧴 Glue
🔷 Foam shapes

👹 Let the Monster-Making Begin!
Give each student a piece of construction paper and challenge them to create their very own monster. Will it have three eyes, six arms, curly hair, or giant feet? There are no wrong answers!

✨ Students can:
👀 Add googly eyes in unexpected places
🧶 Use yarn to create hair, tentacles, or fur
🔷 Turn foam shapes into horns, scales, teeth, or decorations

🎃🧮 Halloween Math Game: Trick or Treat! 🍬👻

Make practising positive and negative numbers a little more spooky with a fun Trick or Treat math game!

🎃 How to Play

🍬 Start with a Set Amount
Give each student a starting collection of Clear Rounded Counting Gems (Treats) and Mini Frogs Counter Set (Tricks). For example, each student could start with 10 treats and 10 tricks.

🎲 Roll Twice Each Round
Students roll the Positive & Negative Number Cubes twice:

🍭 Treat Roll: The first roll tells students how many treats to add or remove from their collection.

👻 Trick Roll: The second roll tells students how many tricks to add or remove from their collection.

🧮 Calculate the Change
Students use their positive and negative rolls to update their totals and record their calculations after each round.

🔄 Keep Playing!
Continue for several rounds. Students track their treats and tricks and see how their totals change throughout the game.

🏆 The Challenge:
At the end of the game, who has the most treats? Who has the fewest tricks? Can students use their rolls to predict what might happen in the next round?

World Food Day is a great opportunity to help young learners discover where food comes from, how it reaches our tables, and why nutritious food matters—all through hands-on play!

🥕 Sort & Classify
Set out play food and have students sort items by food group, colour, size, where they grow, or whether they come from plants or animals.

🌍 Explore Global Meals
Create pretend meals inspired by different cultures and regions. Encourage students to learn about the foods people enjoy around the world and how geography influences what we eat.

🛒 Create a Classroom Market

🍂🔍 Leaf Investigation: Discover Nature's Hidden Patterns! 🔍🍂

Take learning outdoors with this simple fall activity that turns fallen leaves into beautiful works of art while encouraging students to observe the world around them!

🌳 Step 1: Go on a Leaf Hunt
Head outside and have students search for a variety of fallen leaves. Encourage them to look for different shapes, sizes, colours, and textures.

🍁 Step 2: Make a Leaf Imprint
Place a leaf underneath a sheet of paper, with the textured side facing up. Then, gently rub the side of a crayon or pencil crayon across the paper.

🎃🔐 Halloween PE Activity: The Great Escape Room! 👻🏃

Turn your gym into a spooky Halloween Escape Room and challenge students to work together, move their bodies, and complete a series of physical challenges to “escape”!

You only need a few simple PE essentials:
🟠 Floor Marking Tape – Create pathways, boundaries, maze routes, or “laser” lines students need to navigate without touching.
🟠 Polyspots – Set up stepping-stone challenges where students must move from spot to spot without touching the floor.
🟣 Soft Cones – Create obstacles, checkpoints, or stations students need to weave through.
⭕ Flat Hoops – Build targets, stepping zones, or “magic portals” students must jump through to reach the next challenge.

🧙‍♀️ How to Play
Divide students into small teams and give each group a series of spooky challenges. Once they successfully complete a challenge, they receive a clue, letter, number, or symbol that helps them unlock the final escape code!

👣 Challenge 1: Haunted Path – Follow the tape pathway without stepping outside the lines.

🕷️ Challenge 2: Spider's Web – Navigate through the cone obstacle course without touching the “web.”
