Today, we recognize the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
J&R Hall Transport has spent over 70 years operating across Canada. Every day, and every mile we travel, takes us through lands with rich Indigenous histories and communities.
This day is a time to honour the survivors of residential schools, remember the children who never made it home, and recognize the enduring impact these experiences continue to have on Indigenous Peoples, families, and communities across Canada. It reminds us that reconciliation is not only about understanding the past, but also about listening, learning, and working toward a more respectful and inclusive future together.
One of the lasting impacts of residential schools was the loss of language and cultural connections for many Indigenous children and families. Today, more than 70 Indigenous languages continue to be spoken across Canada, reflecting the resilience of Indigenous communities and the ongoing work of preserving and revitalizing cultures and traditions.
While our operations continue as usual today, we encourage everyone to take a few moments to reflect, learn, and acknowledge the importance of truth and reconciliation.
