It's been a cooker in Alberta! Planning your trip to Banff? Plan a cool off at one of our magnificent lakes! We've got two great tours of some of these beauties coming up July 29. A two lake tour, and a sunrise lake tour. If you're curious, send us a DM!
We have so many amazing choices for lake adventures in Banff, here's our top 5!
🌞 In at #5 is Bow Lake! On the cusp of Banff National Park, on your way to Jasper. It's a fantastic choice if you want an incredible picnic, after a moderate hike to bow glacier falls.
🌲 #4 is Two Jack Lake, just 12km from the town of Banff along the Lake Minnewanka scenic drive. This spot is a fantastic way to get a view of Mt. Rundle. This is also one of the few lakes in Banff where scuba diving is permitted!
🌊 Our middle of the list lake is Peyto Lake! Sitting along the Icefields Parkway about 40 mins from Lake Louise, it's home to a great lookout just a short walk from the parking lot.
🚣 World renowned Lake Louise sits at #2 - if you're coming to Alberta, you can't miss it! It features a great spot for sightseeing, canoeing, and hiking - with options for a short lakeside hike, or a more challenging hike up to the Lake Agnes Tea House.
🌄 Topping off the list is the stunning Moraine Lake. One of the most popular lakes in the area, and only accessible via shuttle, transit, or guided tour. Cradled in the Valley of the Ten Peaks, this is one you'll want to check off your list for sure.
Have you been to any of these lakes? Or did we forget your favourite? Let us know in the comments your most memorable Banff lake experience, or which you want to see next!
