Our compact moving trailers are great for fitting into tight spaces whilst not blocking fire lanes, but sometimes customers ask us: “is it all going to fit?” Packing a 1 bedroom apartment into a 6 x 12 trailer can be a challenge. -use the same size boxes whenever possible, this helps the movers cube out the truck efficiently
-transport the loose small items yourself to save packing and loading time
-send photos of the larger items to the moving company in advance; this helps in planning and also gives you a record of item condition prior to move day.
-book elevators if needed and ensure they’ll be in service and ready to go
-label boxes by colour and put matching colours on door frames of your next home so movers know the room placement without asking.
-dismantle furniture as needed in advance such as tables and beds, or clearly explain to movers if you require them to do it. Furniture assembly generally adds to the length and therefore cost of the move.
