Goooood marnin’ Bay de Verde! ☀️

Whadda ya know… what’s dat up in da sky? A plane? A rocket? A UFO? 👽🚀

NOPE! By da jumpins… it’s da SUN! I almost forgot what the bu**er looked like. 😂

The harbour is shinin’ this mornin’, so soak it up while ya can before Newfoundland changes its mind in 10 minutes. 😜

Claire is on da north side armed with her paint brush, makin’ da place look some good. Slow ‘er down when you’re drivin’ through… she’s paintin’, not dodgin’ traffic.

And for da crowd headin’ down for yer 25th inspection of da same boats… yes b’y, they’re still floatin’. 🛥️😂

The harbour is really comin’ together with all da fresh paint, and she’s lookin’ deadly!

Oh… and don’t be gettin’ up to no foolishness… Beakon the Puffin is on patrol. 👀🐧 He’s got one eye on da boats and da other on you.

🎣 Happy Friiiiidayyyyyyy, b’ys! 🎣

‘Tis a long weekend, so if ya can’t find us Monday, don’t be sendin’ out a search party! 😂 The Bay de Verde Harbour Authority will be closed Monday for the Civic Holiday.

Now, if you’re headin’ out after the cod:
⚓ Mind the weather.

🐟 Keep the fish in the boat.

🚤 Keep the wake down in the harbour.

🍻 Save the celebratory drink ’til the boat is tied up.

Whether ya catches your limit or just a good yarn, we hopes everyone has a deadly long weekend.

🌫️ Good Mornin’ from the Bay de Verde Harbour Authority! 🌫️

Well b’y… if ya can see the end of your wharf this mornin’, you’re doin’ better than Beakon! 😅

It’s wetter than a cod in a bucket, foggier than my glasses after a hot cup of tea, and cold enough to make a seagull wear a sweater.

The die hard cod seekers are still out there though… because let’s face it, it takes more than a bit of Newfoundland fog to keep a Newfie off the water. 🎣💪

A few reminders while you’re out and about:
⚓ Take it slow in the harbour.
🌫️ Keep an eye out for other boats.
👀 If you can’t see it… don’t assume it ain’t there!
☕ And if you’re not fishin’, stay inside where the coffee’s hot.

Beakon’s on lookout duty, but even he’s squintin’ this mornin’. 😂

Stay safe, catch lots of cod, and remember… around here, if you don’t like the weather, wait five minutes… it’ll probably get worse! 🤣

We spend all summer hollerin’ “NO WAKES IN THE HARBOUR!”…

But for this… we’ll make an exception. ❤️

Today the only thing making waves was a couple saying “I do!” 💍

From all of us at the Bay de Verde Harbour Authority, congratulations to the happy couple! May your love stay afloat through every storm, every tide, and every cod season that comes your way. Here’s to a lifetime of laughter, adventures, and smooth sailing together.

We’ll allow this one wake… because love gets a free pass. 😉

Good marnin’, Bay de Verde! 🌫️🇨🇦

Well b’y… it’s a grand marnin’ dis marnin’! Thick enough out there ya could lose a moose, a schooner, and your mother-in-law… and only find one of ’em. 🤣

She’ll burn off da once… she always does. Till then, slow ‘er down and don’t be tryin’ to break any land speed records.

⚠️ Heads up on the north side! We’ve got a construction crew replacing all the ladders on the wharf today. So if ya sees fellas workin’, give ‘em room to do their thing. We’d like ’em to go home with the same number of fingers they came with. 😜

🎨 And our summer student Claire is out and about too, painting and making the harbour look half decent. If ya sees her with a paintbrush, don’t test if the paint’s wet with your truck, boots, dog… Mind what you’re at! 😂

Me and Beakon are on patrol as usual… watching the harbour, keeping an eye on the parking, and pretending we don’t have cameras. 👀🤣

Have a wicked day, be kind to one another, catch a feed of cod, and if ya can’t see where you’re goin’… maybe that’s your sign to slow the frig down.

Good morning from the Bay de Verde Harbour Authority! ⚓️

We love seeing the new boats, the old boats, and everything in between… but if you’re changing the oil in your boat, please have enough respect to properly dispose of the waste.

We have a waste oil tank, and she’s not exactly hidden in the witness protection program, it’s clearly visible. 😏

Please don’t leave your mess behind for someone else to clean up. The cameras do rewind, and non-compliance fees will be issued. Let’s all do our part to keep the harbour safe, clean, and looking good.

Besides that… she’s foggy again! 🌫️

You may have noticed some bright orange paint appearing yesterday. We’re just trying to add a little colour to the harbour, one shack at a time! 🧡

Good marnin’, Bay de Verde! 🌫️👀

Looks like someone got the fog and air conditioner cranked on full blast this morning because you can’t see a hand before ya, let alone where in the frig you parked. 😂

Our summer student Claire is out painting her little heart out, so please if it’s bright yellow, shiny, and looks freshly painted… don’t touch it, sit on it, lean on it, lick it, or test it with your good pants. It’s wet paint, b’ys.

The fog will burn off da once and she’ll likely turn into the best kind of day. So, happy Hump Day, I suppose!

Me and Beakon will be here doing important Harbour Authority business trying to figure out who’s parking wherever the spirit moves them, and which one of ye thinks the wharf is a drive-thru garbage dump. 👀 Beakon sees all. Beakon judges quietly. I’m not nearly as quiet.

Have the bestest day, happy fishing, and stay safe out there! And for the love of cod, take your garbage home and keep your arse out of the wet paint. 😂🐟

Good foggy mornin’, Bay de Verde! 🌫️🇨🇦

She’s some thick out there this mornin’.
Claire is roamin’ around in her bright vest, but sure you can’t see the poor child through the fog anyway. 😂 Don’t panic though, dat’ll burn off da once!

Once it clears, she’ll be out with the paintbrush, so please give her lots of room and respect any WET PAINT signs she puts up. Don’t be that person who sees a wet-paint sign and immediately has to poke it to see if it’s actually wet. Yes, b’y it’s wet. 🎨🤣

Also, if you’ve launched your boat, pop in and see me to pay your fees. I’m too old and too contrary to be runnin’ around the harbour after grown adults. Besides, I’d much rather sit comfortably and watch the camera footage like Harbour Authority Netflix. 👀📹😂

And for the love of cod, take your garbage with you! The wharfs are not a dump, and the seagulls are already freeloading enough without you packing them a lunch.

We absolutely love seeing new people coming into the harbour for recreational fishing, Welcome aboard! Have a wonderful, safe weekend, catch lots of cod, mind your wake, mind your garbage, and mind Claire’s wet paint!

Beakon the Puffin is always watchin’… and apparently, so am I. 🐧👀
