There are a lot of companies out there selling trips to Ireland. For us, choosing who we work with comes down to one thing: trust.

And we trust RIT.

Royal Irish Tours has been specializing in Ireland and the UK for decades, and they have built a reputation that reaches well beyond Canada. They are a respected name throughout the Irish travel industry, with strong relationships and local knowledge that make a real difference when we’re planning a trip for our clients.

We love that when we book our clients with RIT, we’re not just handing our clients off to a company and hoping everything goes well.

We’re working with people who know Ireland.

People who understand the hotels, the routes, the experiences, the guides and the little details that can turn a good trip into an amazing one.

And they cover a lot more than just Ireland:

☘️ Republic of Ireland
☘️ Northern Ireland
🏴 Scotland
🇬🇧 England
🐉 Wales

They work with is to put together escorted tours, self-drive vacations, customized itineraries and independent travel for our clients. Whether you want to see the famous sights or get a little further off the beaten path, there are plenty of options.

And because they’re Canadian:

🇨🇦 Canadian tour operator
🇨🇦 Canadian guests
🇨🇦 Canadian pricing
🇨🇦 TICO, CATO & ACTA

That matters to us.

At the end of the day, we want to work with suppliers who care about our clients as much as we do. RIT has consistently been one of those partners for us.

So when someone tells us, “We want to go to Ireland,” RIT is one of the first names that comes to mind.

If Ireland, Scotland, England or Wales is somewhere you’ve always wanted to explore, talk to us. We’d love to help you put the trip together.

Disney Cruise Line has announced its Fall 2027 and Spring 2028 itineraries, and there’s a lot to be excited about.

The big news? Disney Cruise Line is returning to New York City! The Disney Wish will arrive in New York in late September 2027 for seven special voyages, including cruises to Bermuda and, for the first time in nearly four years, New England and Canada’s Atlantic coast.

Bookings open first to select Castaway Club members on August 31, 2026, with general bookings opening September 8, 2026.

🍎 Disney Wish Returns to New York

After spending its inaugural season in Europe, the Disney Wish will head to New York City in late September 2027.

Seven special sailings will range from 4 to 7 nights, including:

Bermuda: Five cruises from New York, with three offering an extra day in Bermuda
New England & Canada: Seasonal sailings along the Atlantic coast, bringing Disney back to this region for the first time in nearly four years

For Canadian families, this is particularly interesting. A Disney cruise departing from New York could mean no flight to Florida, while also giving you the opportunity to combine the cruise with a few days in New York City.

🌴 More Caribbean Cruising from Puerto Rico

Disney is expanding its options from San Juan, Puerto Rico, with the Disney Wish and Disney Fantasy offering 5- to 7-night Southern and Eastern Caribbean cruises.

Depending on the itinerary, guests can experience destinations throughout the Caribbean while enjoying the full Disney Cruise Line experience onboard.

🚢 Panama Canal Adventures

Looking for something bigger?

The Disney Magic will offer two special 14-night Panama Canal cruises during Fall 2027 and Spring 2028.

Both sailings will feature a maiden call:

Eastbound: San Diego to Galveston, including Fuerte Amador (Panama City), Panama
Westbound: Galveston to San Diego, including Colón, Panama

These longer repositioning cruises are a great opportunity for guests who enjoy having more time onboard while exploring destinations that aren't part of Disney's typical Caribbean itineraries.

☀️ More Disney from Florida

Florida remains a major hub for Disney Cruise Line, with several ships offering cruises from Port Canaveral and Fort Lauderdale.

The lineup includes:

Disney Destiny
Making its Port Canaveral debut with 3- to 7-night cruises to The Bahamas and Western Caribbean.

Disney Wish
Returning to Port Canaveral for 3- and 4-night Bahamian cruises featuring Disney's island destinations, Castaway Cay and Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.

Disney Treasure
Continuing 7-night Eastern and Western Caribbean cruises, plus two special sailings: an 8-night Eastern Caribbean cruise and a 6-night Bahamian cruise featuring two stops at Castaway Cay.

Disney Dream
Offering 3- and 4-night Bahamas cruises from Port Canaveral before moving to Fort Lauderdale in November 2027.

Disney Fantasy
Sailing from Port Canaveral from September through November 2027, followed by Fort Lauderdale sailings to the Bahamas and Eastern Caribbean. The Fantasy will also offer its first-ever cruise to Bermuda, including visits to both Disney Bahamian destinations.

🌵 California & Texas

Disney is also continuing its West Coast and Texas offerings.

From San Diego, the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder will offer 3- to 7-night cruises to Baja and the Mexican Riviera, with destinations including Cabo San Lucas, Ensenada and Catalina Island.

The Disney Magic will then head to Galveston, Texas, offering 4- to 7-night cruises throughout the season. Select 7-night Bahamian itineraries will include both Castaway Cay and Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.

🌏 Disney Adventure in Southeast Asia

Disney's newest adventure continues in Singapore.

The Disney Adventure will offer new 3- and 4-night cruises from September through December 2027, giving families the chance to experience Disney Cruise Line while exploring Southeast Asia.

🎃 Holiday Cruises Are Coming Back

Disney is also bringing back its popular seasonal cruises.

Halloween on the High Seas returns beginning in September 2027, with themed entertainment, Disney characters in costume, deck parties and trick-or-treating.

Then in November and December, Very Merrytime Cruises will bring the holidays onboard with festive decorations, tree lighting ceremonies, special entertainment, seasonal treats and visits from Santa.

🌎 Destination Spotlight: Jamaica 🇯🇲

More than beaches, reggae and all-inclusive resorts

Jamaica is one of those destinations that can be whatever kind of trip you want it to be. Yes, there are beautiful beaches and plenty of places to relax, but there is also history, music, food, mountains, waterfalls and a culture that is uniquely Jamaican.

🏝️ The Essentials

Best Time to Visit: Jamaica can be enjoyed year-round, with generally drier conditions from December through April. Tropical weather means short rain showers can happen at any time, so a light rain jacket is always a good idea.

Getting Around: For many visitors, pre-arranged airport transfers, private drivers or reputable transportation services are the easiest way to explore. If you do rent a car, remember that Jamaica drives on the left and road conditions can vary.

Currency & Practicalities: The Jamaican Dollar (JMD) is the local currency, although U.S. dollars are widely accepted in many tourist areas. Credit cards are commonly accepted at hotels, restaurants and larger businesses. English is the official language.

🏛️ History, Culture & Music

Kingston offers a very different side of Jamaica from the resort areas. The capital is the heart of the island's music and cultural scene, with attractions including the Bob Marley Museum, the National Gallery of Jamaica and historic neighbourhoods.

Reggae and dancehall are deeply connected to Jamaican culture, and music is everywhere. If you're interested in understanding the island beyond the beaches, Kingston is worth exploring.

🌊 Places to Explore

Montego Bay: A popular gateway to Jamaica with beautiful beaches, water activities and easy access to historic attractions such as Rose Hall Great House.

Negril: Famous for its Seven Mile Beach, relaxed atmosphere and spectacular sunsets. The West End cliffs are another favourite for swimming, snorkeling and watching the sun disappear into the Caribbean.

Dunn's River Falls: One of Jamaica's best-known natural attractions. The limestone falls cascade toward the Caribbean Sea and can be climbed with a guide or simply enjoyed from the surrounding area.

Blue Mountains: Head inland for misty mountain scenery, hiking trails and some of the world's most famous coffee. Visiting a coffee plantation is a completely different Jamaican experience.

🍴 Eat Like a Local

Jamaican cuisine is bold, flavourful and an important part of the travel experience.

Look for:

Jerk chicken or pork
Ackee and saltfish, Jamaica's national dish
Jamaican patties
Rice and peas
Festival
Fresh mangoes, pineapple and other tropical fruit

And don't be afraid to try food outside the resort. Some of the best meals can be found at small local restaurants and roadside spots.

💡 A Few Good-to-Know Tips

• Pack reef-safe sunscreen if you're planning to snorkel or spend time in the water.
• Bring a light rain jacket. Tropical showers can be quick and heavy.
• Ask before photographing people, particularly in local communities.
• When visiting outside the resort areas, dress respectfully and be aware of local customs.
• Consider getting out and exploring rather than spending the entire trip beside the pool. Jamaica has a lot to see.

⭐ What Makes Jamaica Special?

It's the combination.

Beaches meet mountains. Reggae meets history. Rainforests meet the Caribbean Sea. Luxury resorts exist alongside communities with generations of stories, traditions and culture.

You can spend the morning exploring history, the afternoon swimming beneath a waterfall, enjoy some incredible Jamaican food and finish the evening listening to live music.

Jamaica isn't just somewhere to go. It's somewhere to experience. 🇯🇲

Today we celebrate Jamaica's 64th Independence Day! 🇯🇲

Happy Independence Day to one of the most vibrant, welcoming, and unforgettable destinations in the Caribbean.

Since gaining independence on August 6, 1962, Jamaica has made an incredible impact on the world that extends far beyond its size. It has given us legendary music through reggae, inspired generations with icons like Bob Marley, produced some of the fastest athletes in history, and shared a rich culture known for its warmth, resilience, and unmistakable spirit.

Of course, Jamaica is also home to some of the Caribbean's most breathtaking scenery. From the white sand beaches of Negril and Montego Bay to the lush Blue Mountains, cascading waterfalls like Dunn's River Falls, and crystal-clear turquoise waters, it's a destination that truly has something for everyone.

Whether you're looking for a luxurious adults-only escape, a fun-filled family vacation, an adventure through nature, or simply a place to relax with a jerk chicken lunch and a beautiful ocean view, Jamaica delivers every time.

Today we celebrate the people, culture, history, and natural beauty that make Jamaica so special.

Happy 64th Independence Day, Jamaica!

One Love. 🇯🇲

✈️ PASSPORT RENEWALS JUST GOT A LOT EASIER 🇨🇦

Good news for Canadian travellers!

As of July 28, 2026, online passport renewal is now available to ALL eligible adult Canadians in Canada. The previous limit on how many people could renew online has been removed.

That means eligible Canadians can now complete their renewal online, including submitting their application, digital passport photo and payment, without mailing documents or visiting a Service Canada Centre.

A few important things to know:

✅ Online renewal is for eligible adults only
✅ You’ll need a digital passport photo from a commercial photographer
✅ Online renewals have a 20-business-day service standard
✅ You can track your application status online
✅ Need your passport sooner? You’ll still need to apply in person for express, urgent or 10-business-day service
✅ The eligibility requirements for online renewal are slightly different from regular renewal, so check before starting

And as travel advisors, we’ll say this one more time:

🌴 If you have travel booked for the next year, don’t wait until the last minute to check your passport!

Check your passport expiration date now and make sure you have enough validity for your destination. Some countries require your passport to be valid for several months beyond your travel dates.

You can check your eligibility and start the online renewal process through the Government of Canada:

Have a trip coming up? We’re happy to help you make sure your passport timing doesn’t become a vacation headache! ✈️🌎

Disney Cruise Line is making a long-term commitment to Alaska!

Disney has signed a 15-year agreement with Icy Strait Point, securing preferred weekly access for one Disney ship through at least 2041.

Located near the town of Hoonah, Icy Strait Point is one of Alaska's most unique cruise destinations. Owned by the Huna Tlingit people, it offers incredible wildlife viewing, breathtaking scenery, outdoor adventures, and an opportunity to experience Indigenous culture while supporting the local community.

This move reinforces Disney's growing investment in Alaska. In 2026, Disney expanded from one ship to two, with both Disney Magic and Disney Wonder sailing select 7-night Alaska itineraries.

For guests, this agreement means Disney is helping ensure future Alaska sailings continue to include one of the region's most popular and authentic ports of call.
