When I started my small business, my youngest was 5 and my oldest was 12. 🥹

Since then, this business has been built around school drop-offs, pickups, dance, piano, sports, birthday parties, sick days, broken bones, dinners, lunches and all the chaos that comes with being a mom.

Now my oldest has graduated and is in university, and somehow through every season, I’ve kept showing up.

Life has changed so much, but my consistency hasn’t.

You don’t need the perfect schedule. You just find your groove, work in the pockets of time you have, and keep going. ♡

*TW: Pregnancy loss

6 years of running a small business.

There is SO much people don’t see behind the pretty pictures, the orders and the posts.

In those 6 years…

I’ve worked through 3 heartbreaking pregnancy losses.
2 surgeries and recovery.
Family trauma and some of the hardest personal moments of my life.
Things happening with my kids when being their mom had to come first.
Exhaustion, anxiety and burnout.
Zero engagement and slow months.
Self-doubt and questioning whether I should keep going.

I’ve wanted to quit.

I’ve taken breaks.

I’ve disappeared when life became more important.

And I came back.

If you’re a small business owner going through a hard season, please remember that struggling does not mean you’re failing.

Take the break. Start again. Post when nobody’s watching. Stop comparing your business to everyone else’s.

Some seasons you’ll be killing it. Some seasons you’ll just be getting through it.

Both count.

Sometimes success isn’t about never stopping.
It’s about finding your way back.
