Every day, the transport business presents its own set of challenges. We know our tare weights and ask the right questions to mitigate safety risks and ensure compliance.

Recently, we faced a significant surprise: a load that was said to weigh 80,800 lbs scaled in at 103,000 lbs! Anticipating this may be the case due to the scraper’s age, make, and model, we went prepared with wheeler-trailer insurance, which provided enough allowable weight to scale.

Hauling scrapers can be particularly tricky due to their long wheelbase, which makes it difficult to manage the rear axle group. This is precisely where our Murray Wheeler trailer excels!

**Join Our Team as a Heavy Haul Winch Truck Driver!**

You’ll play a key role in safely transporting over-dimensional and overweight freight locally, regionally and across Canada. This position involves operating a winch truck, performing inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Communicate effectively with Logistics and Leadership.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Assess loads for dimensions, weight distribution, and safety risks.
- Transport heavy equipment using scissorneck, trombone and double drop multi-axle trailers.
- Maintain compliance with federal regulations and safety protocols.

**Qualifications:**
- Valid Class 1 Driver’s License with Air Brake endorsement.
- 3- 5+ years of multi-axle and flat deck experience.
- Proven skills in oversize/overweight hauling.
- Fluent in English.

**Soft Skills:**
- Strong communication and attention to detail.
- Team-oriented and calm under pressure.

**Physical Requirements:**
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions.
