URGENTLY NEED FLAT DECK DRIVER
Job type- TEMPORARILY/ FULL TIME POSITION
Start Date- IMMEDIATELY

Job description
**Overview**

DUTIES
- Safely operate heavy flat deck trucks and commercial vehicles for the transportation of freight to construction sites.
-Must be able to drive out of City/ Province depends on freight required
- Must have Alberta Safety Certificates.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of freight.
- Must know how to securely strap freight.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours driven, mileage, and fuel consumption.
- Must speak fluent English.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding routes, delivery schedules, and any issues encountered during transport.
- Operate forklifts/ skid steers and other heavy equipment as needed for loading and unloading tasks but not necessary.
- Perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance on vehicles as required.

REQUIREMENTS
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) or Class 5 with Commercial fitness course with a clean driving record.
- Experience in heavy equipment operation is preferred.
- Familiarity with freight handling procedures and regulations.
- Knowledge of basic automotive repair is a plus.
- Ability to operate skid steer safely and efficiently is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Must be able to pass background checks and drug screenings as required by company policy.
