Creative Carriage Ltd., incorporated in 1988 specifically to build accessible taxis, was the first Canadian company to manufacture an accessible taxi to meet all Federal and Provincial safety standards. From the beginning we have taken a pro-active role in both standards development and vehicle safety. Creative Carriage has been an active member of the CSA D409 committee since 1990 and has also wo
rked closely with the MTO to assure that commercial vehicles built by Creative Carriage meet Part 629 of the highway traffic act. Our active participation in promoting and developing safety standards within the industry has resulted in numerous awards and commendations throughout our history including a 1995 Award of Achievement for, Innovative Contribution to Transportation in Canada, presented by the Federal Minister of Transportation. Along with innovations in safety Creative Carriage continues to develop and expand its product line to include not only accessible taxis, but full size lift equipped vans, custom Sprinter conversions, Braun Entervans and a full line of Champion and General Coach Buses. When it comes to accessible and specialty commercial vehicle conversions Creative Carriage is continually searching for new ideas to offer the latest in manufacturing improvements and vehicle safety design.
