Eric has added another skill to his growing repertoire of electrical knowledge.

A megger test (insulation resistance test) is an electrical test that uses a high DC voltage to measure the resistance of wire, cable, or motor insulation and check for leaks.

One small issue found but otherwise "Ramble On" completed with flying colours.

Sea trials, adjustment, sea trials, repair, sea trials, change this, inspect that, sea trials, add this, adjust that...

We have to say, this departure is a little long overdue but it took some time to ensure this vessel is all systems go. The bow thruster that came with 2 left blades and needed that right. A leaky through hull, a defective monitor, adjust the prop, a few additional extras as per the owner and the QSL-9 Cummins that threw code for cylinders 4-5-6 and then cylinders 1-2-3 - one of those elusive problems that required all 3 injector harnesses to be replaced. All problems solved.

Yes we normally don't rack up 15 hours on the engine before turning it over to the customer, but it just has to be right.

We build it, test it and stand behind our work for years to come.
