Autism Aviators has been a tradition at YYG for years, but this year, we took it to new heights. Literally. ✈️

For the first time, autistic Islanders and their families didn’t just practice the airport experience. They took a real flight over Prince Edward Island, made possible by Air Canada and the Air Canada Foundation.

At YYG, inclusive air travel for all Islanders is something we are deeply committed to. Thank you, Air Canada and the Autism Society of Prince Edward Island, for making this day a success!

YYG is looking for a Winter Seasonal Equipment Operator to join our team at Charlottetown Alexander B. Campbell Airport. This is a hands-on role working with our winter maintenance crews to keep our groundside and airside surfaces safe and clear all season long.

Here's what you need to know:

- Salary: $30.75/hour
- Start Date: November 4, 2026
- End Date: April 14, 2027

PSA to our surrounding YYG community. 🚒✈️

Our airport firefighters will be conducting live fire training exercises on October 8 and 9. If you notice fire or smoke in the vicinity of the airport during this time, there is no cause for concern. All exercises are fully controlled and supervised.

These annual training exercises meet Transport Canada requirements and keep our team prepared to respond to any aircraft emergency. This helps keep passengers, employees, and our airport community safe.

Safety never stops at YYG.
