Horizon Hauling is currently seeking to fill 1 to 2 positions of apprentice and/or journeyman heavy duty mechanics to operate in our licensed CVIP facility/repair center.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours and hold a valid drivers license.
- Safety tickets are an asset, but not required upon employment.
- Experience with electronic data submission (paperwork completed only on laptops/computers) such as: Work Orders, Maintenance & Repairs, Electronic Filing Submissions is considered an asset.
- Experience with fluid hauling tank trucks, trailers, hydraulic wet kit systems experience is considered an asset.
- Must own regular heavy duty mechanic's tooling (all special diagnostic tooling equipment is owned in house)
Looking for immediate full time permanent employment with industry competitive wages.

Wage will be discussed upon hiring based on field level experience & certification.

Horizon Hauling is currently seeking new team members to join our Horizon Hauling Family. Horizon offers a wide range of fluid hauling as well as flat decking and landoll equipment moving. We are looking for team members that enjoy the fast-paced world of service work in drilling/completions as professional flat decking/landoll operators and can count on fluid hauling work to fill the gaps in between.
We are looking for employee drivers only (zero contractors) residing in the Grande Prairie area only.
- Our fleet of equipment is maintained by our own licensed CVIP facility, our operator's safety and concerns for their dedicated unit's overall operating condition is our utmost concern.
- We operate our Hours-of-Service program utilizing Electronic Logbook (ELD) programs, ensuring our operator's safety along with our company's monitoring and compliance.
- Horizon offers industry competitive wages, health & wellness, benefit programs & RRSP program.
- Our fleet consists of a vast array of tank unit configurations from 7 axle straight cans, 8 axle tri-quad and super B units are available for drivers to pick from based on their preference and previous experience. Horizon’s flat deck transportation division consists of 7 Axle/6 Axle configuration of hi-boy/floats/land-all and 6 axle winch/scissor trailer.
-Operators applying with interest of dual role operators (both divisions of Decking and Fluid hauling applies the company's highest tier pay structure). Must have previous experience winching/equipment moving, flat decking.
Horizon Hauling's management requests that anyone that may be interested in joining our team meet our hiring criteria:
- Hold a Class 1 CDL with no more than 3 convictions on your 5-year commercial abstract.
- Possess all general oilfield tickets (H2S, Standard First Aid, EGSO/CSO).
- 2 - 5 years relevant oilfield/fluid hauling experience.
- Due to the nature of our safety sensitive positions as professional drivers on public roadways, management has implemented a zero-tolerance drug and alcohol policy/program. Therefore, a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen will be required as part of our hiring/orientation program.
