I’m leaving for an almost 2 week trip to Iceland today with my spouse. This is the message my BFF sent me this morning. Yes, I have forgotten my passport. Only once, but I will never live it down.

I have just returned from a week in Mexico with Air Transat.

I was there for a weeklong training camp. I learned so much and viewed so many resorts.

An agent who has never been to this destination probably won’t be able to recommend the right resort for you. Seeing and experiencing the resorts firsthand gives me customized knowledge that you won’t get from an Internet search.

For example, one of the resorts that we viewed shows a beautiful beach in all of its photos. When I visited that resort, I learned that there really isn’t much of a beach. Most of it had been washed away by hurricanes and erosion over the last few years. By visiting that resort in person, I now know that this resort is not a resort for somebody who loves the beach.

Up next for me is Iceland - I will be visiting many parts of the country and experiencing it with Celebrity Cruises. I will report back after I return.

I’m going to Iceland in July.

I will be spending two nights before, and after in Reykjavík and doing a seminar at sea with Celebrity Cruises.

I’ve planned trips to Iceland, but this will be my first time experiencing the country properly. I’m pretty excited.

I hope to be able to share tons of information on all of my experiences with you soon.
