Class 1 Driver Required - Hot Shot Trucking & Specialized Transport

We are a growing specialty trucking outfit based in Delta, BC involved in hot shot trucking, auto transport and boat transport and are searching for full time and part time drivers.

We do not run regular lanes or line haul. Practically every trip is different and always includes a different variety of loads. You'll never get bored! However you must be highly adaptable to new situations.

Our compensation rates are among the highest in the transport industry however we expect our drivers to act and perform accordingly to a higher standard.

-Must be able to operate manual transmission trucks
-At least 5 years experience driving trucks
-Clean cut and presentable
-Adaptable to various scenarios since we do not haul the same loads every time
-Knowledge of how to load and transport a wide variety of cargo as there will be flat decking
-Knowledge of cargo securement
-Must be willing to travel out of town
-Geographical knowledge of BC and Alberta
-Good snow/mountain driving experience

Compensation: $0.60/mile to $0.65/mile depending on load.

Pay: $6,000.00-$10,000.00 per month

We are a growing medium sized transport company with a fleet of trucks and trailers. Trucks range from Sprinter vans, 1 ton trucks, 2 ton trucks, 10 ton truck and highway tractors. Trailers include gooseneck flat deck and fifth wheels.

All units need regular maintenance. You will be expected to work on brakes, electrical, suspension, drive line, A/C, cooling systems and light engine work.

Our shop is clean and well equipped. We are looking primarily for someone who has a natural mechanical aptitude but is also eager to learn more.

Requirements:
**Must be a trade certified commercial transport or automotive technician
** Must have own tools
** Class 5 driver's license
** Diesel engine knowledge
** Able to work a full time schedule

Having an Authorized Inspector's license to perform commercial vehicle inspections would be a bonus.

The position is full time Monday to Friday and possibly Saturdays in extenuating circumstances.

We are looking for someone who pays great attention to detail and can wash/detail trucks & trailers and organize equipment. You must be comfortable moving trucks and trailers around a yard and having a valid class 5 license is a prerequisite.

All applicants must have previous detailing experience of at least 5 years to be considered for the position.

Job details include:

Detailing - Truck washing, vacuuming, complete interior cleaning, waxing and polishing as needed and trailer washing.

Yard - General organizing and placement of trucks in the yard.

The job is full time right away and is great for someone looking to work their way up into a long term career.
