1943 C18S C-FGUE taking off on a beautiful morning to a remote fly in outpost cabin on Highrock Lake. It’s always fun watching and listening to these vintage aircraft still getting the job done. Nothing better than the sound of 2 - 450Hp radial engines on the morning.

The walleye fishing is excellent on a remote fly-in fishing trip with Gateway North Outfitters. Canadian fly-in fishing is a great way to fish Canada.

This brother/sister duo had a great trip at our Fishtrap Lake outpost. Caught some quality walleye, pike, and smallmouth during their stay.

The “Walleye Wagon” finishing its last trip of the day dropping off and pick up fishermen from the outposts. Trevor wasn’t wasting any time bringing it straight in to the dock. A great day to be on the lakes!

This group enjoyed their first trip with Gateway North Outfitters and fishing at our Highrock Lake outpost. They caught some great walleye and smallmouth bass and got some great shots of the view form the dock. Highrock is a very popular location for those wanting larger walleyes and excellent smallmouth bass mixed in.

We have been getting a lot of calls and emails regarding the wildfires., so will try to keep everyone updated here. This is a picture of the current air quality and visibility from the wildfires in the area. There is a haze in the air, but can not smell the smoke currently. Conditions can change rapidly depending on the wind direction and conditions. There are no fires in our immediate area, but a fire ban is in place as a preventive measure. We will keep updating everyone here of the current conditions and any changes.

Our thoughts and prayers are with those having to evacuate and deal with losses from the wildfires. Our area received a good rain last night and do not have fires close to us or our outposts currently and only a haze from the fires that came in yesterday. If the wildfires are altering your plans, we do have openings available if you are needing a place to go. We will keep everyone updated if the situation in our area changes. Hoping for more rain, cooler temps, and not much wind so the fire crews can get a bit of help from mother nature.
