Another shipment on the move for a growing client relationship!

We picked up this new client just a couple of weeks ago, and they're already trusting us with another urgent shipment.

After receiving the required customs documentation Tuesday, we got transportation arranged and had the load picked up Wednesday in Rocanville, Saskatchewan.

This time we're moving a Kemper 460-8 Harvester Header, now heading south to Kutztown, Pennsylvania.

When a shipment is urgent, getting the paperwork, scheduling, and transportation lined up quickly is what keeps things moving.

Another load on the road, and another opportunity to show a new client what Great Lakes Logistics is all about.

Another new client shipment on the move!

We were hired earlier this week to handle transportation of a Freightliner Columbia 120, moving from Calgary, Alberta, to its new home in Wolseley, Saskatchewan.

Booked earlier this week, loaded yesterday, and scheduled to arrive today — a quick and straightforward move for a new-to-him truck.

Driver grabbed the usual photos at pickup, but also took a moment to snap one after parking for the night. With a nicely lit truck and a Saskatchewan sunset in the background, we’d say he found a pretty good spot to call it a night. 🌅

Another smooth move for another new client.

Double-header shipment on the move!

Two new clients, two separate shipments, and one trailer heading south and east from Ritchie Bros. in Nisku, Alberta.

The main shipment is a GMC 5500 plow truck, headed to its new home with a client in St. Andrews, Manitoba.

The second shipment is a bundle of livestock gates, heading to a farm in Wood Mountain, Saskatchewan. Little off-route but no problem at all!

Both loads were picked up yesterday morning and are now safely on the road.

Sometimes the best logistics solution is simply finding the right way to combine two shipments and make the most of one truck. Big shout-out to ROSERIDGE TRUCKING - great team & great service! Happy to have them in our corner!

Two new clients, one efficient move — that's a win all around!

The CAT D8T adventure continues!

After getting the D8T dozer rolling from Butner, North Carolina to Debert, Nova Scotia last week, we're back at the pickup location today to collect the rest of the machine.

The blade, push-arms, and trunnions are now loaded and heading north as well, bringing the rest of the package together for our repeat client.

Another coordinated move, another load safely on the road.

Another machinery move where the plan changed once we got on site — and good communication got it done!

We were hired to move a Morbark Post Peeler, with the original information calling for approximately 27' of trailer space for the motor table assembly and peeler platform.

When our driver arrived last Thursday, we quickly discovered the 27' measurement only accounted for the peeler table. There was also a 38' conveyor, making the shipment three separate pieces — with two of them measuring approximately 9' wide.

The good news? We already had a driver on site with room for the peeler table. After talking it through with our client, we worked out a second load with that same driver to accommodate the motor table and conveyor.

This morning, another driver was on site at 9:00 AM to load the remaining equipment.

Now all three pieces are loaded, secured, and on the road to the customer. ✅

This was our first shipment with this client, and the original freight booking had been handled through a third party who unfortunately didn't include the dimensions for all three pieces.

That's where communication matters.

Rather than pointing fingers or letting a dimensional discrepancy derail the shipment, we got the information sorted out, talked through the options with our client, worked out a solution, and kept the freight moving.

Heavy equipment doesn't always go exactly according to plan. What matters is having a transportation partner who can adapt when it doesn't.

Another heavy piece on the move for a valued repeat client!

After shipping a CAT D6 dozer for them a couple of weeks ago, this week we're handling a CAT D8T, loaded in Butner, North Carolina, and heading north to Debert, Nova Scotia.

At roughly 77,000 lbs, this one calls for the full heavy-haul treatment — proper permits, route planning, and additional axles to get the job done safely and legally.

And we're not finished yet. On Monday, another truck will be heading back to the pickup location to collect the blade, push arms, and trunnions for the D8T.

Another big machine, another carefully coordinated move.

Another shipment on the move for a valued repeat client!

This time we're coordinating transportation of oilfield equipment from our client's home base in Sarnia, Ontario and it's now on the way to Blackfalds, Alberta!

This load includes a picker truck, pump skid, and several additional equipment skids. To make the loading process safe and efficient, we arranged a stepdeck trailer with ramps so the truck could be self-loaded, while the remaining equipment was loaded with crane assistance.

Everything is loaded, secured, and now rolling westbound toward Alberta.

From specialized equipment to unique loading requirements, Great Lakes Logistics Transport Inc. works closely with our clients to find practical transportation solutions that keep projects moving.

Thank you to another great repeat client for trusting us with your freight — we appreciate the continued opportunity to be part of your operations.

Another shipment on the move for a valued repeat client!

This time we're transporting a mobile office container, loaded in Newmarket, Ontario, and now heading west to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

Like many shipments, this one came with a few unexpected twists. After being booked late last week, our first pickup attempt on Friday had to be postponed when the container proved too heavy for the loading equipment available on site. Rather than forcing the issue, we worked with everyone involved to reschedule a safe reload, and the container was successfully loaded Monday afternoon.

Our driver is now making their way west, with a few additional stops along the route, and we're hoping to have the container delivered in Saskatoon before the long weekend.

Not every shipment goes exactly according to plan, but clear communication, flexibility, and a focus on safe operations are what keep freight moving when challenges arise.

A big thank you to another great repeat client for continuing to trust Great Lakes Logistics Transport Inc. with their transportation needs.

Another CAT D6K2 LGP Dozer on the move - took some time to get the documents in place for this cross-border haul, which is pretty much par for the course these days, but now it's go time!

Driver Scott now has this CAT D6K2 LGP Dozer loaded up from the Ritchie Bros. Auction site in Butner, North Carolina, and it's now making its way north to the Ritchie Bros. Auction site in Debert, Nova Scotia for one of our repeat clients.

Not every shipment goes exactly as planned—and that's where experience matters.

This machine came in a little wider than originally booked thanks to a modified blade, measuring 11'11" wide instead of the expected width. That meant a few extra permits, a couple additional phone calls, and a quick conversation with the client to adjust the plan.

No drama, no surprises—just good communication, quick problem-solving, and getting the shipment moving safely and legally.

That's logistics. Things change, you adapt, and you keep the freight moving.

A big thank you to our trusted carrier and driver Scott for another professional pickup. We appreciate working with great people who know how to get the job done.
