Heart full of gratitude today...
I wanted to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude and heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you who played a crucial role in making the re-entry into Fort Chipewyan a tremendous success. Your unwavering dedication, selflessness, and tireless efforts have brought immense relief and joy to the residents who were forced to evacuate due to the devastating wildfire.

Fort Chipewyan, being accessible only by plane or boat, presented unique challenges and required a coordinated and collaborative response. Over the course of three days, we witnessed an incredible display of teamwork and commitment ensuring that every essential item reached its rightful place.

From pilots and flight crews who navigated the skies with utmost skill and professionalism, to ground staff who meticulously organized and coordinated the logistics, your expertise and efficiency were truly remarkable. It is because of your unwavering dedication that the residents of Fort Chipewyan are now able to return to their homes and begin the process of rebuilding and healing.

I would also like to extend my gratitude to the countless volunteers and community members who generously offered their time, support, and resources during this challenging time. Your unwavering spirit and willingness to lend a helping hand have been an inspiration to us all. The compassion and solidarity you demonstrated are a testament to the strength and resilience of the human spirit and this great community of ours.

Lastly but not least, I want to acknowledge the residents of Fort Chipewyan. Your patience, understanding, and cooperation throughout this evacuation and re-entry process have been exemplary. Your strength and resilience in the face of adversity have been truly inspiring. Together, we have overcome a great ordeal, and as a community, we will continue to support one another as we move forward.

Once again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your remarkable efforts in ensuring the safe return of the residents and several pets to Fort Chipewyan. Your collective dedication and hard work have made a lasting impact on the lives of so many individuals and families. Together, we have shown the power of unity and community spirit. Well done RMWB
