Update on miss spunky!! She is doing so much better now that she’s had penicillin and we flushed her ear and redressed it with topical medicines…. She’s really interacting with her babies a lot more now. Babies are thriving and very playful!!

4:16am was a little late getting out to switch the battery over but as of this time we still have all 8 babies. Back to bed I go to catch up on some sleep!!

Sad side of things when you raising farm animals.
You do all you can right by your animals you try to give them the best chances. Early morning late night checks, assists and in the end you got to also let natures takes it course and sometimes it’s sad and cruel…
baby’s need power which results in a midnight check to switch the battery. I came to a very sad mama. She laid on 3 of her babies in the night. She finished feeding her babies, I got the battery changed she went out of a drink, the 8 babies went to the heat lamp, mama went back in the house and nudged and talked to her cold babies trying to push them to the creep box. I let her have her moment with them she accepted they weren’t getting up and laid down next to where her other babies were. She made her call to me I gave her loves and I took the cold babies away. Life is amazing and beautiful but it can be cruel.

Well here’s to the first night with piglets!!!! Oh I’m so worried about them but spunky has to learn to be a mama and it’s just hard for me to accept because I wanna help so bad for their survival… she’s a pretty amazing mama and Ryan and I have done all we can to set them up!! Again so hard!! But I will go check on them to make sure they don’t get out of the house in to the open pen and make sure the battery to the heat lamp don’t shut off on them!!

11 alive 2 stillborn and 2 mummies. Spunky is one tired mama but she did it all in her own except the last one (who’s the biggest one) she carried a total of 15 piglets

Today is Miss. spunky piggy’s due date and well she seems to be in labour officially now she’s very restless and very confused going to be a long night

Can you tell these two pigs are related???? Both of them came from the same facility just 1 year apart. Aqua pigs these two are! My boar on the other hand hates getting wet i accidentally sprayed his leg and he was in the dirt grunting at me like how dare I spray him
