It's community tradeshow season in BC, so must be Spring!

Fort St John base manager, Tyler Hadland, shared a photo from last weekend's CKNL Radio Tradeshow. Over 14,000 people attended.

Tyler & team thank everyone who stopped by. The team met lots of new people and made some new connections.

A couple weekends prior, YHL had a booth at the Chetwynd Chamber of Commerce trade show. Another well attended event!

Effective at 12:00 (noon) on Thursday, June 5, 2025, Category 1 open fires (campfires) are prohibited across the Dawson Creek, Fort St. John, and Fort Nelson fire zones.

This prohibition applies to campfires (Category 1) and will be in place until Oct. 31, 2025, or until the order is rescinded.

Prohibitions apply to all public and private lands unless otherwise specified (e.g. in an enactment or local government bylaw). In addition to prohibiting the use of open fires of any size, the following activities are prohibited:

• Tiki Torches, Chimineas
• Fireworks
• Sky Lanterns
• Burn Barrels or Burn Cages of any size or description
• Binary exploding targets

This prohibition does not ban the use of cooking stoves with a CSA or ULC rating that use gas, propane or briquettes.
