The Snow Removal Labourer is responsible for working independently or as a team under the direct supervision of the site supervisor. Responsibilities include de-icing and snow clearing from airside walkways, emergency doors, the perimeter of the terminal building, and ground-side pedestrian walkways in an efficient manner.

Requirements
• Fully vaccinated against COVID-19. (working on federal property)
• Valid G license.
• Willing/able to be on call 24/7.
• Able to work varying hours, days, nights, holidays, and weekends as needed.
• Ability to work in winter weather conditions.
• Capable of lifting 50lbs.

Work Duties
• Snow Removal within Airside and Groundside at Toronto Pearson Airport.

• Snow Removal within Airside and Groundside at Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport.

• Proficiently and safely treat surfaces with shovels, compact tractors, snow blowers, hand spreaders, and other power and manually operated tools and equipment.

• Maintain a clean and safe job site, while making every effort to not damage property or landscape in the efforts of removing snow.

• Appropriately distribute de-icing solutions on the airside with sodium formate and urea. De-icing solution on the ground side with calcium chloride (rock salt).

Responsibilities
• Always represent A.I.M.’s best interest, maintain the highest level of integrity and professionalism.

• Maintain care for A.I.M.’s provided equipment, tools, and vehicles.

• Work as a part of a team and take direction.

• Attend mandatory training requested by management.

• Follows A.I.M.’s rules, policies, procedures, and regulations.

• Reports all incidents/accidents, safety concerns, hazardous conditions, and near misses involving equipment on reporting card and to the site supervisor.

Physical Demands
Requires constant moving, walking, stoping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Frequently operates machinery and will use hands/fingers and legs to operate, active, use, prepare, inspect, place, detect, and position materials. Frequently standing, walking, lifting, and/or moving up to 50lbs to over 100lbs with assistance. Specific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Constantly required to communicate with the ability to talk and hear. The job will require constant outdoor works in all types of weather conditions and exposure to elements. This can include heavy to moderate noise, extreme proximity to moving equipment or machinery, proximity to electrical energy, exposure to tools and machines used in constructions industries.

Responsible for the de-icing and clearing of snow from walkways and parking lots for aviation Groundside and Airside in an efficient manner, promoting job worksite safety, providing excellent customer service, and exhibits pride and quality workmanship.

Requirements
• Fully vaccinated against COVID-19. (working on federal property)

• Willing/able to be on call 24/7.
• Able to work varying hours, days, nights, holidays, and weekends as needed.
• Ability to work in winter weather conditions.
• Capable of lifting 50lbs.

Work Duties:
• Proficiently and safely use snow removal equipment such as shovels, sweepers, tractors, spreaders, skid loaders, compact tractors, and other power and manually operated tools and equipment used to perform snow removal.

• Safely and appropriately distribute de-icing solutions on the airside (which include: potassium acetate, sodium formate, urea).

• Ensure aviation apron is adequately and safely plowed when required.

• Daily Equipment Safety Check and ensuring all equipment complies with safety precautions.

As a reminder, this year's preseason orientation will take place on Wednesday, October 21st, 2020. The information presented as part of this orientation is important, participation is mandatory for all new and returning employees and will be tracked. You will receive a link Wednesday morning via email to access the orientation presentation. If you have not yet received an email regarding the orientation presentation please make sure you reach out ASAP to ensure you are on the mailing list.

The presentation will take place on our website where you will be able to watch our presentation and complete a short information form. The presentation will be available online for several weeks but the sooner you complete it the sooner we can get you started. If you do not have access to a computer, mobile device, or a reliable internet connection please reach out to schedule a timeslot to utilize our office space.

We are happy to announce a date for the 2020-2021 preseason orientation. Unfortunately, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we will not be hosting a BBQ this year. Instead, orientation will be hosted digitally for new and returning employees on Wednesday, October 21st, 2020. The information presented as part of this orientation is important and participation is mandatory.

We are looking for a licensed heavy-duty equipment mechanic with a minimum of 3 years experience.

Location: Majority in Erin, Ontario Canada
Rate: $30 - $35/hr
Shifts: 10 hrs/day, Monday - Friday

Duties include:

- Check heavy construction and agricultural equipment for proper performance and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions.

- Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required.

- Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems, using hand and power tools.

- Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications.

- Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment.

- Service attachments and working tools such as harvesting and tillage equipment, blades, and plows.

- Perform general repair work on heavy trucks.

- Attach and adjust components/implements on new farm equipment.

Requirements:

- English speaking
- Self-starter
- AZ provincial drivers license is considered a strong asset

A.I.M. gives back to the communities that have been a staple in our existence. This year we are entering a Team to participate in the Orangeville Road Hockey Tournament Fundraiser to support the Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides. This Foundation has helped thousands of Canadians with medical or physical disabilities by providing them Dog Guides at no cost. One of A.I.M.’s family members has experienced first-hand that this Foundation change lives for the better.

A.I.M. is reaching out for pledges to make this fundraising event a huge success. 100% of all team fee’s and pledges collect will go back into the Orangeville community to support the Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides.
