The Village of Grand Manan is a small island community located in the Bay of Fundy, and is surrounded by several smaller islands. The Village was amalgamated on May 8, 1995; it is comprised of the former Villages of North Head, Grand Harbour and Seal Cove, and two former local service districts Castalia and Woodwards Cove. n 2006 was a year-round population of two thousand four hundred and sixty. The Council of the Village of Grand Manan is comprised of one Mayor and nine Councillors, of which a Deputy Mayor is elected.

Last week the village learned that the dry dock availability for the Grand Manan Adventure has been delayed for two weeks until early October. The dry dock is still planned to last 6 weeks. We have written to the Minister of Transportation and have requested that both the Adventure and the Grand Manan V remain in operation until the Adventure leaves for Newfoundland. We will let you know when we receive a decision.

The Village Office, Community Centre, Fitness Centre, Visitor Information Centre will be closed tomorrow due to electrical maintenance in the building. The Fitness Centre may open up around 8pm but we will notify the public if it reopens.

The Bottle Donation Money from the Redemption Centre is in for the month of July 2026 ......$1,536.30
The Village is working in conjunction with Action Ministries to disperse these funds to individuals or organizations in need. Action Ministries helps provide with the following:
