I haven't updated this page in a long time, but yes, we're still moving buildings.

A few items of note:
1. As mentioned before, we do not work in the HRM.
2. Due to several logistical factors, we no longer move buildings farther than short distances on the road.
3. We can replace sills, joists, beams and other structural elements. We do not do finish carpentry, or siding.
4. We lift and move. We do not do excavation or concrete work, however,we can suggest companies in our area who do those things.
5. Our rates depend on the job in question. Smaller jobs are often done by the hour, while larger jobs are priced. There are a number of factors that dictate how difficult a move is and these affect prices. We can discuss these factors with you to determine the best course of action for your job.

Yup, we're still moving and lifting buildings. We've had to downscale for a while for reasons I'm not going to go into here.
A few notes:
We are still not working in the HRM area, and we are not moving buildings on the road right now. It's just too much hassle.
Also, if you have a small shed you want moved, it is far more cost effective for you to contact a towing company with a tilt deck to do the job than it is for us to do it. In fact, we would hire a tilt deck to do it if we had to move a small shed, so...

I haven't updated here lately but, yes, we're still moving buildings and the season is beginning.
A note, however. Due to the sheer hassle of it, we are cutting back on moving buildings any real distance on the road. That said, moving around the property, moving short distances on roads that aren't too busy, and lifting/raising building are all still a go. Replacing sill, joists, beams, are also services we provide.
Oh, and thanks to all those who have given us good reviews.

We're back into what looks like it will be a very busy moving season.

Fact: you have no idea how much your head weighs until you have to dig what amounts to a 2'x2' tunnel from one side of a house to the other with a shovel while laying on your side.

Moving a building through a densely populated area is a major hassle, quite often impossible. For that reason, if the building you want to move involves Halifax, Dartmouth or Bedford, you can probably assume we are not interested in the job.

Big shout out to all the folks on Mush-a-mush beach road who helped carry blocking so we could get the cottage out of the road last night. Some of you just wanted to get home or get out. Some of you actually acted like you enjoyed it. Some of you might have been ticked off, but it didn't show. Whatever the case, the help was much appreciated. That was a much tougher job than anticipated. Thanks.
