✈️ Since 2024, CATSA has installed 82 Computed Tomography (CT) X-rays on pre-board screening lines across ten airports: Vancouver, Kelowna, Toronto, Ottawa, Montréal, Halifax, Québec City, Calgary, Edmonton and Winnipeg.

These scanners use 3D images to help screening officers detect explosives and other threat items more effectively — strengthening security while supporting efficient screening.

🧴💻 If you’re in a CT line, you can keep large electronics, medical devices, and approved liquids, aerosols and gels (100 mL or less in a single 1L clear, resealable bag) in your carry-on during screening.

⚠️ If there’s no CT signage at your line or checkpoint, these items will need to be removed from your carry-on and placed in a bin.
