VAYA! What an ahh-mazing day in the world of travel! ✈️🌎
Yesterday was a full day of travel talk, industry connections, fresh inspiration, and exciting discoveries! Did I plan a single Soulscape journey? Nope! Not one. 😉 Because yesterday, my office was filled with travel magic on a different note!
The morning kicked off with a Hyatt Inclusive Collection breakfast seminar hosted by our Western Canada Business Manager, and let me tell you, there’s SO much happening in the Hyatt world! One exciting highlight? The brand-new Hyatt VIVID, an adults-only resort in Punta Cana! 🌴✨
I already have clients booked there to celebrate their 25th anniversary, so getting the latest updates straight from the source was especially exciting. When you’re helping clients celebrate milestones like these, the little details matter and these connections mean the world on your end of the rewards. Knowing what’s new, what’s noteworthy, and what to look forward to? That’s part of the magic as well!
🌎 Then it was on to the Granite Travel Expo at the 4 Points Sheraton Kelowna Airport Hotel with some of the best in the industry!
With 24 travel suppliers under one roof, the afternoon and evening was packed with networking, learning, laughter, and an ahh-mazing dinner! Tour operators, hotels, resorts, unique experiences, presentations, product updates, and one on one conversations with the people we work with behind the journeys I love designing.
And THIS is why showing up matters.
Travel designing is about so much more than booking flights, finding a resort, or putting an itinerary together. It’s about relationships. It’s about asking the right questions, staying curious, discovering what’s new, and building connections that help me match the right experiences with the right travellers, it all comes full circle for YOU!
Because sometimes, the difference between a good trip and an unforgettable one lives in the details you don’t see. ✨
And what about my desk?
Well, my office may have been quiet, but my inbox wasn’t entirely abandoned! A few client emails were handled between sessions because, let's be honest, travel doesn't always wait for a convenient time slot. 😂 There’s always a detail that needs attention, a question that needs answering, or a little piece of someone’s upcoming adventure that deserves care.
So, while I wasn’t physically at my desk, I was absolutely at work!
