A poetic message from a Great Canadian passenger (and published author):
"A Great Canadian Tour
We come together as strangers
from different towns, cities and
provinces of our eclectic nation.
Slowly, we learn each other's names,
begin to recognize faces and sort
ourselves into walkers and sitters,
knitters and talkers, those who sing,
and those who don't, and the
quieter souls who just like to listen
and learn. From pictures taken and
shared, and snippets of breakfast,
coffee and dinner conversation,
we learn what is important to this
person, and what that person avoids.
There is a helping that happens when
someone stumbles, and forgiveness
when a traveler is late in boarding. We
connect during moments of laughter,
and when we are tired, we withdraw.
There are no expectations, and no
pressure to be one thing or another
We're just 34 diverse travellers, joined
in a Great Canadian journey, creating
meaningful memories as we discover
the hidden depths and wonders of this
incredible land that we call home."
