Thursday evening, MSAR was tasked for a rescue of a male who had fell a considerable distance in the East Stave backcountry. The subject was stable but had sustained injuries which made travel difficult.
Mission SAR members were able to locate the subject, provide first aid, and stretcher him to a helicopter for a medical transport.

Seasonal touring and full time positions available. Astar and Bell 206 pilots and engineers. Pilot requirements starting at a minimum of 1500 hours, mountain course, precision longline and wildfire experience an asset. Engineer requirements: licensed with As350 with Arriel 2 type training. We still have positions open for the upcoming season in support of Heli-portable drill operations. Summer positions on a 2/2 rotation with opportunity for full time employment. Pilot minimum experience requirements: TC License, 2000hrs, Mountain drill experience. Engineer requirements: valid m1/m2 license, TC approved as350 with Arriel 2 series engine courses. Preference given to candidates able to work in the US or qualify for a US visa, pilots with ATPL, Night Ratings/NVG experience.
