Position:
Freezer Order Picker
We are looking for multiple additions to our warehouse team who will integrate seamlessly, both in working style and personality. If you are our next Freezer Order Picker, you are organized and thrive in fast-paced environments. You can handle working in below-freezing temperatures for long periods of time. You have strong communication skills and a sense of urgency. Ideally, you have previous warehousing experience and are familiar with some type of Warehouse Management System, but if you are the right candidate in every other way, you don’t necessarily need this.
If you are our next Freezer Order Picker, you are fun and easygoing, but not at the cost of focus and accuracy. You learn quickly and are an excellent problem solver. You are comfortable with both working alone, as well as working in team-based settings. You are not afraid to make mistakes in the name of learning. You accept constructive criticism with grace and are constantly aiming to improve. Your previous employers would recommend you to us in a heartbeat. You are confident, but humble, and you celebrate even the smallest of successes.
Key Qualifications Preferred:
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments under pressure
- Mobile Equipment Certification
- Ability to lift/carry up to 30kg
- Strong communication skills
- Previous warehousing experience
- Warehouse Management System (WMS) familiarity (not necessary, but a huge bonus)
Job Requirements:
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals
- Punctuality
- Basic math skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to complete necessary paperwork accurately and legibly
- High regard for safety
- Safely operate warehouse equipment, such as power jacks and counter-balanced rider trucks
- Adapt to a changing workload while maintaining a high level of accuracy
- Work in a below freezing cooler/freezer environment for long periods of time
- Work both independently and as a team member
- Build and maintain good communication with lead hands and supervisors (this includes identifying problems, working on solutions, providing recommendations, etc.)
- Fill out daily mobile equipment inspections before use
- Observe all safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE
- Loading and unloading trailers both by hand and using mobile equipment
- Prepare outbound shipments for pickup by staging completed orders on the dock
- Receive incoming shipments of various product (this includes sorting, counting, and ensuring material matches the unloading tally paperwork – may need to take photos of shipments)
- Inspection of incoming/outgoing products (this includes checking for any damages, dirty containers, broken pallets etc. – may need to take photos of shipments/products)
- Filling out the daily shipping/receiving logs
- Transport received products to freezer/cooler to be put away
- Maintain of the cleanliness of the warehouse by sweeping and removing trash
- Hand-wrap pallets to reduce damage and ensure safe transport or storage
- Perform all duties in a highly ethical manner and in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Report all incidents, such as damaged product or equipment, to a lead hand or supervisor
- Participate in inventory activities, such as full inventory counts for clients
- Perform general warehouse functions as necessary
Job Type:
- Full-Time (Monday to Friday) (Afternoon and graveyard shifts available)
Salary:
- $42,000 to $53,000 in the first year

Please note our training location is in Aldergrove and is not along any bus routes, so you will need to ensure that you have reliable transportation to work daily.
