June is National Indigenous History Month in Canada — a time to recognize, honour, and celebrate the history, heritage, resilience, and diversity of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples across the country.
This month invites us all to reflect on the contributions Indigenous peoples have made and continue to make to Canada — in culture, language, leadership, environmental stewardship, and beyond.
It’s also an opportunity to listen, learn, and take meaningful steps toward reconciliation — not just in June, but every day.
Let’s honour Indigenous voices, past and present, and commit to fostering respect, inclusion, and understanding.
