Today we said goodbye to our hangar cat Kramer. For the last decade Kramer has protected our hangars, the airplanes and almost half the Lethbridge airport from mice, gophers, rabbits, and weasels. He has chased coyotes, taken on a badger and helped with pidgeon control whenever he could.

Kramer was loved by most who met him and would always give and get as much affection as he could. He loved getting attention and was always up for getting spoiled by us rampies. He thrilled the group's of schoolchildren that come for tours/flights, and in the last few years loved the overwhelming attention they gave him.

Our hangar will not be the same without you old man.

We had an exciting week from Oct 3 - 7 2016 with the RCAF's 435 Squadron hosting CHINTEX 2016, a week long Search and Rescue training excercise at CYQL. We had 2 CC-130HT Hercules, a CC-138 Twin Otter and a CH-146 Griffon taking part. As well we were visited by a CT-114 Tutor, a CT-142 Dash 8 (Gonzo) and several CT-156 Harvard 2's

Air Canada A320 made an emergency landing at CYQL today after going through a hail storm up at CYYC. The aircraft sustained a fair amount of damage but thankfully it landed safely and nobody was injured.
