Disneyland does not always have to be a go-go-go kind of trip. ✨

Sometimes the best moments are the ones where you slow down a little, wander through the parks, grab something fun to drink, take in the atmosphere, and enjoy being exactly where you are.

That is one of the things I loved about this trip. It was not just about rides and schedules and trying to fit everything in. It was also about the little pauses, the views, the laughs, the snacks, the drinks, and those moments where you look around and remember why people keep coming back.

This is also something I think about when helping families plan Disneyland, especially families with older kids, teens, adult kids, or multi-generational groups. The right trip is not always about doing the most. Sometimes it is about building in enough space for everyone to enjoy the parks in their own way.

Disneyland can be magical for little kids, but it can also be so much fun for grown-ups, friends, and families who are in a different season of travel.

If Disneyland is on your list, I would love to help you think through what kind of park days would actually fit your people.

Who would you wander Pixar Pier with? Tag them so they know. :)

While I am back home from Disneyland, my brain (and heart) is still very much in the parks. This trip gave me so many little notes that I know will be helpful for families planning their own Disneyland vacations. Things about rope dropping, Lightning Lane, midday breaks, Halloween time in the parks, Oogie Boogie Bash, where the crowds felt different, what was worth slowing down for, and what I would absolutely do again.

That is one of my favourite parts of being a travel agent who specializes in Disney destinations; I get to experience these things in real life and bring those practical notes back to help other families feel more prepared. Disneyland can be magical, but it can also feel like a lot if you are trying to figure it all out on your own. Which is where I come in. :)

Need help making the most of your time in the parks? Let me know!

A quick Mexico flash deal for families thinking about a fall getaway. ☀️

For 72 hours only, select all-inclusive resorts in Puerto Vallarta and Los Cabos have reduced rates, kids stay free offers, and instant savings for travel between September 1 and October 31, 2026. This could be worth a look if you are hoping for a warm-weather escape before winter, especially if you already have a rough date range and departure city in mind.

Puerto Vallarta can be a great fit for families who want a relaxed Mexico feel, beautiful views, and resort time. Los Cabos can be a good option for families looking for sunshine, pools, dining, and a more desert-meets-ocean kind of backdrop.

If you have an idea of your "where + when", send us a message and we can help you sort through the options while the offer is available. Availability, pricing, kids stay free details, inclusions, and savings vary by resort, dates, room category, package, and traveller ages. Terms and conditions apply so contact us for full details.

Last day in California, and these are the three Disneyland tips I would bring home from this trip.

Rope drop if you can. Those early park hours can make such a difference, especially for the rides you really care about.

Take the midday break. The California heat is no joke, and stepping away for a bit can help everyone enjoy the evening so much more.

Learn how Lightning Lane works before you are standing in the park trying to figure it out. A little planning ahead can make your day feel smoother and a lot less overwhelming.

These are the kinds of real-life park notes I love bringing back as your local travel agent who specializes in Disney destinations.

Save this if Disneyland is on your family’s list, and reach out if you need help planning and booking your magical adventure.

Summer may not be over yet, but this is also the time of year when people start thinking about where they want to be when the cold weather shows up. Grand Palladium has a promo running this month with reduced rates and instant savings on select getaways to Mexico, the Dominican Republic, and Jamaica.

I think Maleficent might have stolen the whole night. 🖤🔥

While we’re enjoying our last day in the parks today, my mind keeps going back to Oogie Boogie Bash last night.

The atmosphere, the treat trails, the short wait times, the costumes, the characters… it was such a fun way to experience Disney California Adventure after hours.

And then this moment with Maleficent? So good.

These are the kinds of Disney details I love getting to experience in person as your local travel agent who specializes in Disney destinations, because there is a big difference between reading about an event and actually feeling what the night is like.

Tell me, which Disney villain would you be most excited to see at Oogie Boogie Bash?

08/21/2026

This is where Oogie Boogie Bash starts to feel very different from a regular park day. 🎃✨

Cast Members are checking wristbands now, which means only party guests are staying in Disney California Adventure, and the wait times are so short right now.

We’ve already hit a few treat trails, the atmosphere is so fun, and this is exactly the kind of thing that is easier to understand when you’re actually here experiencing it.

These are the little details I love paying attention to as your local travel agent who specializes in Disney destinations, because party nights, park timing, crowds, and expectations can really change how a trip feels.

So tell me, if you were at Oogie Boogie Bash, would you head for the treat trails first, the characters, or the short ride waits?

🎃✨ To me, Disneyland just hits different at Halloween. The pumpkins. The colours. The music. The big Mickey jack-o'-lantern greeting you at Town Square! It all feels extra magical this time of year.

But another thing this trip has confirmed for me is that not every visit to the parks has to be a big family deal. Sometimes you need to sneak away with the girls ( Haley Howland , laugh way too much, eat the snacks, ride the rides, take all the pictures, and make a whole new set of memories together.

This trip has already been so much fun, and I cannot wait to keep sharing little moments from the parks with you this week.

Good morning from Disney California Adventure ✨

We rope dropped Radiator Springs Racers this morning, and now we are officially on a mission.

I’ll be sharing lots while we’re here this week; little park updates, things I notice, planning thoughts, food, rides, and all the small details that are easier to understand when you’re actually here.

As your local travel agent specializing in Disney destinations, being in the parks helps me stay current and gives me even more real-life notes to pass along to families planning their own trips.

So tell me, what would you rope drop first at Disney California Adventure?
