CHSN Transit follows the lead of the local school bus company when it comes to making decisions about transit during times of inclement weather. It is our priority to keep our drivers and riders safe. As such, due to poor road conditions:

• All transit rides will be cancelled today.

• Rides to medical appointments will take place at the discretion of the driver.

• At this time, the Madoc Food Bank will be open for scheduled appointments, but may operate with limited staff. Please watch this space for updates.

• CHSN office staff may operate with reduced staff as road conditions make it difficult to get to the office this morning.

CHSN Transit is unexpectedly short-staffed today.

We thank you for your patience while we prioritize the most urgent issues.

If you have a booking request for later this week, please leave a message on the transit line and someone will return your call in the next 24-48 hours.

We regret that we will not be able to do any additional booking for tomorrow. If we are unable to honour your ride for tomorrow, you will be contacted shortly. Some clients may have to find alternate transportation.

• The office will be closed and staff will be working remotely. Phones will be monitored, so if you need to speak with someone, please call and leave a message. Your call will be returned as soon as possible.

CHSN is closely following the development of the winter storm expected this evening and through the overnight hours.

Our transit service relies heavily on volunteer drivers and it is their safety that we must put first when we make decisions about travel. As such, we have decided to cancel transit for tomorrow, Thursday, February 13th.

We have announced this decision early so that riders who are concerned about making it to work tomorrow may make alternate arrangements for transportation.

Rides to medical appointments will only go ahead at the discretion of the driver. We encourage you to communicate with your driver to discuss arrangements.

The Food Bank will be closed.
