🌴💦 I LOVE LAZY RIVERS! 💦🌴

Seriously... let me float and relax! 😂 Give me a tube, some sunshine and a cold drink, and I am HAPPY! 🍹☀️

If you're like me and a lazy river immediately makes a resort more appealing, there are some AMAZING all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean and Mexico that need to be on your radar!

🌊 Excellence Playa Mujeres – Mexico
Adults-only, luxurious and absolutely gorgeous! This resort has a beautiful winding lazy river-style pool, incredible restaurants, gorgeous grounds and a beautiful beach. Perfect for couples looking for relaxation with a little extra fun.

🌴 Excellence Riviera Cancun – Mexico
Another adults-only favourite! Think lush tropical grounds, beautiful pools, amazing food and a relaxing lazy river where you can spend the afternoon floating your worries away.

💦 Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana – Dominican Republic
This adults-only resort is STUNNING — and guests have access to the neighbouring Hyatt Ziva's water park, complete with a real lazy river! You get the luxury and atmosphere of an adults-only resort with a water park right next door.

🇲🇽✨ DID YOU KNOW THIS ABOUT MEXICO?

When most of us think about a vacation to Mexico, we probably picture turquoise water, white-sand beaches, beautiful resorts, tacos and margaritas. 🌴🍹

But Mexico has an INCREDIBLE amount of history and culture to explore too!

Mexico is home to more than 30 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, putting it among the countries with the most recognized heritage sites in the world. 🤯

And some of them might already be familiar to you!

🏛️ Chichén Itzá – One of the most famous ancient Maya cities and home to the iconic El Castillo pyramid.

🌿 Sian Ka'an – A huge protected natural area along the Caribbean coast filled with tropical forests, mangroves, wetlands, wildlife and beautiful marine habitats.

🏺 Uxmal – An incredible ancient Maya city in the Yucatán known for its beautifully detailed architecture.

🌵 Teotihuacán – The ancient city outside Mexico City famous for the massive Pyramid of the Sun and Pyramid of the Moon.

🏙️ Historic Centre of Mexico City & Xochimilco – A fascinating mix of ancient history, colonial architecture and the colourful canals of Xochimilco.

There are also historic towns, ancient archaeological sites, natural reserves, islands, monasteries and cultural landscapes recognized by UNESCO throughout the country.

THIS is one of the things I love about Mexico. ❤️🇲🇽

You can spend one day lying beside the Caribbean Sea with a margarita in your hand… and the next exploring a place with hundreds or even thousands of years of history.

So if you're heading to Mexico, don't be afraid to venture beyond the resort for a day. There is SO much to see!

🌊🌴 LET’S TALK SARGASSUM!

If you’re planning a beach vacation to Mexico or the Caribbean, this is something I think is worth knowing about — especially if having a beautiful beach is high on your vacation wish list!

So… what IS sargassum? 🤔

Basically, it’s a brown seaweed that naturally grows in the ocean. It’s actually an important part of the marine ecosystem and provides food and shelter for sea life. 🐠🌊

The not-so-pretty part? Sometimes large amounts of it wash up along the shoreline.

And here’s where it gets tricky — sargassum is VERY unpredictable. One beach can have quite a bit of it, while another resort just down the coast can have very little. It can change depending on the time of year, weather, winds and ocean currents.

Many resorts work incredibly hard to keep their beaches clean, with crews out regularly removing it. But at the end of the day, Mother Nature is going to do what Mother Nature wants to do. 😂🌴

That’s why I always tell my clients that seeing sargassum reports doesn’t mean every beach in Mexico or the Caribbean is going to be covered in seaweed. It can literally vary from beach to beach and even day to day.

And if you wake up one morning and the beach isn’t looking quite as dreamy as you hoped? Head to the pool, grab yourself a drink, find a lounger and enjoy that beautiful resort you paid for! 🍹☀️😎

You’re still somewhere tropical, you’re still on vacation, and chances are you’re NOT shovelling snow back home. 😂🏖️

✈️🌎 One of my bucket list adventures… SOLO TRAVEL! 💕✨

One thing I would absolutely LOVE to do someday is take a trip completely on my own.

I know so many people who have travelled solo and absolutely LOVE it — and the more I hear about their experiences, the more I understand why. ❤️

There’s something pretty incredible about going somewhere new and having the entire experience be YOURS.

✨ Going wherever you want, whenever you want
✨ Not being tied to anyone else’s schedule
✨ Stepping outside your comfort zone
