Sometimes you just gotta stop on the side of the road and take a couple casts. My son caught his first large mouth bass and boy was he stoked. He said lets release into the grease dad. No problem!

It was great to get back on the staging kings. It was a slow start but they came in hot to close the night. The frenchman gave us some entertainment when he jumped in the water to catch the bow rope. Tabernac!

Join me on my next adventure!...
Aanii, Wiikwemkoong,

I am pleased to share my vision and platform for the upcoming election.

Community politics is not always easy, especially in today's climate, but Wiikwemkoong is entering an unprecedented period of change, opportunity, and positive growth. I believe this is the right time for me to step forward and serve our community as a Councilor.

I am not making grand campaign promises. Instead, I am committing to work respectfully and collaboratively with Chief and Council, our community organizations, and our members to build upon the important work already underway and create a stronger, healthier, and more prosperous future for Wiikwemkoong.

MY VISION

As Wiikwemkoong enters a new era of sovereign wealth and economic opportunity, we need leadership with a clear vision for sustainable growth, responsible governance, and long-term prosperity. The decisions we make today will shape the opportunities available to our children and future generations.

Fiscal responsibility, transparency, and accountability must guide every decision. Open communication and meaningful community engagement are essential to earning and maintaining the trust of our members. Together, we can ensure that our growth reflects the priorities, values, and aspirations of our people.

I am committed to working collaboratively with Chief and Council to advocate for fair and equitable funding, close long-standing gaps in government programs and services, and advance our inherent and Treaty rights. I will also support strategic partnerships with industry, educational institutions, and organizations that share our vision of self-determination, economic independence, and long-term sustainability.

A strong economy must be supported by strong, healthy people. Addressing the growing challenges of mental health and addictions requires a community-driven approach focused on prevention, early intervention, treatment, healing, and culturally grounded supports.

Wiikwemkoong is one of the fastest-growing First Nations in Canada and is poised to become the third-largest First Nation in the country by land area. This growth requires proactive leadership, though

Tour season has arrived. The Northern Ontario School of Medicine students enjoyed the beautiful Killarney-Topaz Lake experience. Nothing beats chasing sunsets on the Bay.
