Jim Reap was asking about 3300 DAF s on another page earlier today , here is a look back down memory lane at some of our motors ,

They were good hard working motors fairly reliable suffered with cylinder head failure no doubt due to constant high revs trying to cope with the weights they were asked to do .

Cabs were tiny inside especially for 2 men crews however always warm due to the heat coming up from the engine , ZF 16 speed gearbox with the gate was challenging and you had to listen for the click as it went thru the gate and often pray it went in to gear 🥵🥵we didn’t know any better and just got on with the job every day 👍

A few pictures to end the week , including The Hiab in at Hampden Stadium helping move some training goals for our friends at the SFA .

Young Jamie in at Forth Ports for a Stacker truck over to Rosyth , The Big XXL Volvo out supporting Sarens with some ballast and equipment .

Lastly Peter Davis has had the DAF demo unit for the last 2 weeks and has given us his opinion on it, we have really tried it out on our regular moves and his reports are very encouraging 👍👍
