The wind is making for a busy afternoon across Miramichi. 😅

Traffic lights are out in several areas, delays are building, and drivers are already reporting changing road conditions throughout the city.

If you’re out today:

⚠️ Treat intersections with non-functioning traffic lights as four-way stops.

🚗 Give yourself a little extra travel time.

Nothing beats a ball field full of kids on a summer weekend. Huge thanks to the volunteers, coaches and parents who make these tournaments happen….that’s the community part of “community-powered.” 🥹💙

This is a place where people still pull over for a stranger with a flat, still wave from the truck, still tell you which road to avoid before you ask, still show up when you need them.

𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠… 👀

A few months ago, MiRiver started as a small, local solution to a transportation gap in our community. Since then, it’s grown because of the support, feedback, and ideas from all of you.

Every part of MiRiver has been built through our own time, effort, and investment. It’s a completely self-funded project, and seeing the community embrace it has made every late night worth it.

Recently, we had the opportunity to meet with the City, where regional transportation plans were part of the conversation. It was an exciting discussion, and it really reinforced the potential for what MiRiver could become.

At the same time, we’re continuing to build. We’ve got updates, improvements, and new features already in the works that will be rolling out over the next couple of weeks. 🤫

Seriously. A few people told everybody else what was ahead of them, and that’s how it works 🙂

Traffic’s picked right back up around town today and into the weekend. Construction, summer visitors, the usual July mess.

And here’s the honest part:

MiRiver only knows what you tell it.

If ten people crawl through the same backup and nobody says anything, the eleventh person drives straight into it blind.

It takes just a few seconds. Bumper to bumper traffic, closure, accidents….tap it in when you’re stopped or ask whoever’s riding shotgun to do it. That’s it. 🙂 That’s how we make this reliable and get you to where you need to be as quickly and safely as possible!
