In art transport, humidity is always a risk factor - and a summer heat wave with exceptionally high humidity can push that risk even higher.
For museums, galleries, private collectors, and cultural institutions, July and August conditions can create added challenges for sensitive works.

Important considerations include:
Climate requirements
Packing and crating strategy
Route and timing coordination
Reduced exposure during loading and delivery
Climate-controlled storage when needed

Fine art logistics requires careful planning long before a piece is moved.
Transporting artwork this summer? Armstrong Fine Art Services can help plan the details with care.

This Canada Day, Armstrong Fine Art Services is proud to celebrate the artists, collectors, galleries, museums, and cultural institutions helping preserve Canada’s creative legacy.
Fine art logistics plays a quiet but important role in protecting the works and stories that connect communities across the country.
Happy Canada Day. 🇨🇦

To Canada’s cultural teams and collectors: thank you for helping protect our shared heritage.

Zadie Xa with Benito Mayor Vallejo | Moonlit Confessions Across Deep Sea Echoes: Your Ancestors Are Whales, and Earth Remembers Everything
May 23 – Aug 23 at Esker Foundation

Armstrong Fine Art Services is proud to support the logistics for this touring exhibition.

Moving contemporary art of this scale is never transactional. It requires an understanding of the artist's vision, the material sensitivities of textile and mixed-media works, and the precision needed to install and reassemble complex exhibitions across multiple venues.

Every piece of Zadie Xa's work carries both cultural narrative and technical craftsmanship. Our role is to help ensure that each work arrives, is handled, and is presented with the care it deserves.

Armstrong Fine Art Services is proud to support Qillaniq—an Inuktitut word describing the shimmering light of the sun or moon reflected on water.

Co-curated by an all-Indigenous team from across the circumpolar world, Qillaniq brings together artists whose work is multi-vocal, multi-disciplinary, and deeply rooted in community. The exhibition celebrates Indigenous ways of knowing, creating, and caring for one another, offering a powerful expression of joy, resilience, and possibility.

As sponsors, we are honoured to support an exhibition that creates space for voices that challenge convention, inspire connection, and remind us that our existence is enough.

At Armstrong, we believe that art has the power to preserve culture, spark dialogue, and bring communities together. Supporting exhibitions like Qillaniq is part of our commitment to helping important stories travel, connect, and endure.

✨Meet Alexa, our Director of Fine Art - a familiar face you may already know!

Alexa brings experience, care, and a whole lot of fine art know-how to everything she does. A steady presence and a big part of what makes our team shine✨💪

✨ 2025 was a year to remember at Armstrong Fine Art Services. ✨

We kicked things off by celebrating 15 years in business with a fresh new logo, expanded our fleet with a new straight truck and 53’ trailer, and partnered with four incredible institutions on standout exhibitions:

We connected with friends and colleagues from around the world in Budapest at the ICEFAT Convention, became a Transport Canada Regulated Agent—allowing us to securely screen, store, and transport sensitive cargo—and were honoured to be featured in two articles.

Add in countless 5-star reviews, an extraordinary team, and the continued trust of our clients, and we couldn’t be more grateful.

✨ We can’t wait to see what lies ahead in 2026.

✨We recently had the privilege of attending the opening of Winter Count at the National Gallery of Canada - an exhibition we were proud to partner on.

With winter officially underway, the timing couldn’t have felt more fitting.

Huge thanks to the incredible National Gallery of Canada team, and a big shoutout to our own team for the hard work and creativity that brought it all to life.

If you get the chance this season, Winter Count is well worth the visit. ❄️
