Hey Swampers fans!

We've been quiet since the trails closed, but we just wanted to say a few thank yous to cap off the season.

First off, thank you again to all of our landowners who generously allow us to stake our trails across their land. Without you, we wouldn't be able to offer the fantastic local riding that we strive for every year, which drives winter tourism in our area.

Thanks to everyone who helped the club out this winter with staking trails, clearing trees, fixing signs or in any other way. Every little bit helps and gets trails ready faster.

Finally, thanks to all of you snowmobilers for your support. What started off as a bit of a downer of a season with trail reductions turned into another smash hit and your support with permit purchases (and the associated trail traffic!) sure showed it. Thanks for staying on the trails and respecting our landowners property as well.

If you could, please take 5 minutes to fill out the brief survey below from the OFSC and tell them about your snowmobile season and how much you enjoyed District 5 this winter. Your feedback is appreciated, and your support helps prove that snowmobiling in Southern Ontario isn't going anywhere!

Swampers Update, March 1, 2026

Welcome to March, we made it! We were out last night to shave down the moguls on our main trails (they're hard!!) for what was likely the last time for this season based on the current weather forecast. Enjoy your last ride(s) over the next few days - things will change quickly once we go above freezing again!

With that said, please check the ITG at OFSC.evtrails.com or the Go Snowmobiling App often as trail status will change rapidly this week. Please do not ride closed trails, they've run out of snow and crops are exposed. Ride safe. Keep er between the stakes. Enjoy!

Swampers Update, February 24, 2026

We're not done yet! Groomers were out to tidy up the trail base again. A few thin spots but for the most part the trail is in great shape. The bare ground beside the trail should help deter any off-trail nonsense 😁

Patiently waiting...

Another warm day or two on tap for us, but we're keeping our fingers crossed for some snowfall behind that! 🤞 We've still got snow and a trail base, but we will need some fresh snow to groom and make sure that our landowners crops are protected. Trails remain unavailable - please stay off until you see a status change on the ITG at ofsc.evtrails.com or the Go Snowmobiling App. Hopefully we can squeeze a little more riding out of this season!

Swampers Update, February 15, 2026

Snuck in some more grooming overnight to keep things in shape the best we can for your long weekend riding! Here's the view Jordan had from the seat of the Bell last night grooming part of the Swamp - 5 minutes of the 1hr and 40 minutes or so it takes to go through there.

Swampers Update, February 14, 2026

Happy Valentine's Day and Happy Family Day Weekend! All kinds of club events happening in the neighborhood this weekend, will be a great weekend to get out and support our neighbors, including Pineridge Snowmobile Club and Science Hill Drifters Snowmobile Club.

Mother nature surprised us overnight with much colder temperatures than forecasted - made for some tougher visibility at times but trails were setting up great behind the groomer!

Please remember to check the ITG at ofsc.evtrails.com or the Go Snowmobiling App for live trail availability - this warm stretch will result in some status changes in our district and it's important to make sure you're on an available trail. Ride safe. Keep er between the stakes. Enjoy!

THANK YOU to everyone who joined us last night for our Pork Chop BBQ. We had another great turnout again this year! Your support is appreciated!

Thanks to the DeBlock family for all of the work you do every year in organizing this event - we couldn't do it without you.

Groomers left Monkton last night and got our trails levelled back out now that the wind has died down. Should be a great day for a ride!
