Today for Travel Tuesday we want to highlight the main differences between a mobility accessible room versus a regular room on a cruise ship. An accessible stateroom will typically have a larger doorway leading into the room as a wheelchair or powerchair will not fit in a standard door size. The accessible rooms also tend to be larger to accommodate wheelchair mobility. Regular rooms tend to be tighter, reducing mobility and sometimes not even allowing the person in a chair to turn around. Lastly, the bathrooms in an accessible room are not only larger but have special features like benches, detachable showerheads, safety bars, and an emergency button to call for help in case someone falls. Accessible travel is not a luxury, it is a necessity. Having the knowledge between the different room types will allow you to help advocate for yourself on what you need for your vacation in order to avoid stressful surprises. When booking with us, do not be afraid to ask questions to help determine the right room for you! The room can make all the difference between a good vacation and a great one!

This week for Travel Tuesday we are highlighting a local Church. Jacksonville Baptist Church has been sending a Missions Team to the Dominican Republic for the last 19 years. This year Burlock Travel was able to assist them with their trip. While they were there they were able to build a home for a family in need as well as assist local Dominican churches. Thank you JUBC for all the work that you do year to year to support the people of the Dominican Republic.
