We saved 150 cats in 2014 to 2024 Our goal is to help cats remain with their families for life in happy, clean and fun environments by creating custom designed cat rooms. We are fur parents who want and do the best for kitties in need with the help of volunteers, donors and let's not forget adoptive families. OUR STORY:
In 2014, we started this page to save 100 black and tuxedo kitties from be
ing taken away from the city of Montreal and being destroyed at Berger Blanc. All the while we were facing our own family crisis, one the owner of the animals is the sister and the other my father was dying. On top of that, we had full time jobs and needed to negotiate extensions and permission with the city. We had awesome volunteers helping us deliver the cats or foster them, our vet gave us a sterilization discount and almost at the end, the McGill students volunteered to foster until Dec 15, 2014. We transformed our NDG dinning room into our Cat Room. Since we had taken on to foster 35 cats ourselves in our apartment. We had to deal with complaints from our tenants and the city coming to visit. We had to pick-up cats that didn't mesh with there new owners, sick kitties, vet bills, cleaning, promoting, explaining to each person the situation and the hardest part death of some of the babies. The ones that survived were all adopted by wonderful families. In 2024, 10 years later, we are at it again. We discovered multiple black and tuxedo kitties once again at the same house. This time, the Montreal SPCA helped the owner with the cats by vetting and placing them in adoption. OUR GOAL:
We want to make a change in the world by helping to reduce the amount of yearly abandonments. They are either due to lack of pet friendly housing, resources, time, financial hardships, medical, death of the fur-parent, etc. HOW?:
