One of the things I love most about travel is learning about the everyday traditions that shape people’s lives. 🇲🇦

While exploring with my guests and our local guide, we had the opportunity to learn a little more about prayer in Islam — including the movements Muslims make during salah and the meaning behind them.

It was fascinating to watch him demonstrate and explain something that is such an important part of daily life for millions of Muslims around the world.

These are the moments I want my guests to experience in Morocco.

Not simply seeing the mosques, hearing the call to prayer or walking through the medina — but having someone local take the time to explain why things are done, what they mean, and the role they play in Moroccan life.

Travel becomes so much richer when we’re curious enough to learn about one another. ❤️🇲🇦

And this is exactly why I believe a great local guide can completely change the way you experience Morocco.

My heart has learned to live in more than one place. 🤍

🇬🇷 Lesvos — the Greek island that gives me sea, slower days, familiar faces and a place that feels like home.

🇲🇦 Morocco — the place that captured me years ago and somehow keeps pulling me back. The colours, the chaos, the food, the conversations, the people… and the feeling that there is always another layer to discover.

And somewhere along the way, travel became much more than simply seeing the world for me.

Since 2010, I’ve been creating and hosting travel experiences for people who want to experience a destination beyond the checklist.

Morocco has become a huge part of that story. I love introducing my guests to the people I know, sharing meals around tables they might never find on their own, wandering medinas with local friends, and watching someone fall in love with this country in their own way.

And then there’s 🇹🇷 Türkiye — another country I adore sharing. Its history, landscapes, food, hospitality and incredible mix of cultures make it one of those places I could return to again and again.

I suppose that’s what I want this little corner of Instagram to be about too.

Travel. People. Food. Photography. Local life. The little things I notice. And the places that have found their way into my heart.

❣️Little things I love about Casablanca

Casablanca in colour. ❤️💙💛

Casa is one of those cities that rewards you for exploring it on foot.

Bold red arches and palms in Arab League Park, with the former Sacred Heart Church rising behind them… then colourful street art tucked into the streets of the old medina.

Two completely different scenes. Both completely Casablanca.

This city is full of contrasts — Art Deco architecture, old medina streets, contemporary street art, grand boulevards, neighbourhood cafés, historic buildings and little details you’d easily walk straight past if you didn’t know where to look.

It’s one of the reasons I love exploring with a local guide. You don’t just see Casablanca — you begin to understand the layers of the city.

📮 POSTCARDS FROM ISTANBUL 🇹🇷

A city where Europe and Asia meet, where ferries criss-cross the Bosphorus all day long, and where there always seems to be a glass of çay within reach.

Istanbul is grand mosques and tiny neighbourhood cafés. Fishermen along the Galata Bridge. The call to prayer drifting across rooftops. Cats curled up in shop windows. Simit carts on busy corners. Laundry hanging above cobbled streets. Ferries packed with commuters, tourists and seagulls following hopefully behind.

It’s chaotic and beautiful, ancient and modern, enormous and somehow still full of little neighbourhood moments.

I’ve returned to Istanbul many times, camera always in hand, and I don’t think I’ll ever tire of photographing it. Every neighbourhood feels like another layer waiting to be discovered.

So here are a few postcards from Istanbul — little moments and scenes from a city that deserves far more than a quick stopover. 💌

✨ Little Things I Notice | Gueliz, Marrakech

Tucked between the apartment buildings, cafés, shops and busy streets of Gueliz, I keep noticing these old villas.

And every single time, I wonder about them.

Who built this house?
Who lived here?
What did this neighbourhood look like when this villa was new?

Does anyone still live behind those shutters?
Is there a family inside carrying on decades of memories?
Or has it been sitting quietly, empty, while modern Marrakech has grown up around it?

I love the contrast.

These beautiful old homes with their gardens, balconies, faded walls and architectural details, now dwarfed by apartment blocks on either side. Little pieces of another Gueliz still holding their ground.

Sometimes I just like imagining the story behind them.

And wondering how many stories are hiding behind those old walls.

🇲🇦 A few of my favourite tastes of Morocco…

One of my favourite ways to understand a place is through its food. And Morocco offers so much to discover!

Food here is family, hospitality and tradition: Friday couscous, bread shared around the table, mint tea poured from high above the glass, olives before you’ve even ordered and fresh juice on a hot afternoon.

A few favourites:
