The latest ABYC E-11 standard now requires individual battery fusing on banks exceeding 500ah capacity when using batteries in parallel configuration in addition to the main fuse, regardless of the chemistry, as featured in this AGM to lithium battery upgrade awaiting commissioning on a Beneteau 40.

Insulating all ungrounded conductive surfaces is another requirement that can be challenging when dealing with busbar and fuses.
