November 19th, 2024 marks 7 years of The Pickup. I’m so sorry for the late post I’ve not been using social media very much lately and I know this was for November 19th last year.

On November 19th of 2017 7 Years ago I started THE PICKUP from the ground up and I would like to say I am happy to say that 6 years later it has risen to success more then ever. But unfortunately it has not been like that lately. 3 years ago in October of 2021 my truck broke down. not long after that I sold it due to the manufacturing history. It needed a new engine and even though I was able to afford it it was just not worth it. it became unworthy to fix on my own.

The past 7 years have been interesting. From moving up to my second truck, towing trailers, hauling scrap, firewood, driving a 3 ton I still made it happen till this very day. Despite COVID-19 and having to shut down for 55 days during the pandemic I still picked up afterwards and still succeeded. Aside from the natural disasters and intense flooding along with the roads being washed out and plus the fuel shortages I still thrived to success. Aside from that, I made a move I never thought I would make in my business, renting a uhaul truck, employing my mom to help me on a job. Also I had to use my moms car on occasion.

a quick update. unfortunately I’m still not back in business but I’m trying the best I can to get things running again😎🤑🛠🏘🏦🏙🚚🚛⛽️🗺🛣💰💸💵💳⚒⛓⚙️🔩🔧🇨🇦🇨🇦.

On November 19th of 2017 6 Years ago I started THE PICKUP from the ground up and I would like to say I am happy to say that 6 years later it has risen to success more then ever. But unfortunately it has not been like that lately. 2 years ago in October of 2021 my truck broke down. not long after that I sold it due to the manufacturing history. It needed a new engine and even though I was able to afford it it was just not worth it. it becoming unworthy to fix on my own.

The past 6 years have been interesting. From moving up to my second truck, towing trailers, hauling scrap, firewood, driving a 3 ton I still made it happen till this very day. Aside from that, I made a move I never thought I would make in my business, renting a uhaul truck, employing my mom to help me on a job. Also I had to use my moms car on occasion.

Now for those of you wondering I had a second job delivering magazines for Island Fisherman for life in which I did for over 5 years since 2018. I’d like to thank my family, friends and clients for their support over the past 6 years. But I have to say that I am definitely looking forward to next year and the years on after that😎🤑🛠🏘🏦🏙🚚🚛⛽️🗺🛣💰💸💵💳⚒⛓⚙️🔩🔧🇨🇦🇨🇦.

On November 19th of 2017 5 Years ago I started THE PICKUP from the ground up and I would like to say I am happy to say that 5 years later it has risen to success more then ever. But unfortunately it has not been like that lately. last year in October of 2021 my truck broke down. not long after that I sold it due to the manufacturing history. It needed a new engine and even though I was able to afford it it was just not worth it. it becoming unworthy to fix on my own. However I came up with a solution that I never thought I would come up with. This is how it started.

it was just around my 23rd on November 12th 2021. 1 or 2 days prior I rented a uhaul truck. it was a very nice truck. A single cab 2019 Ford F-150 pickup truck. it was my first time renting a vehicle and also that it was near my birthday I considered it an early gift to my self. I rented it for 24 hours and I must say it was a good experience. the truck drove very smoothly and it was very affordable. afterwards I thought “what if just what if I used a uhaul truck for one of my jobs”. eventually I got that chance.

In Tuesday, February 8th, 2022 I got called to waste removal job. I rented a 10 ft cube van from uhaul. I showed up and it was six loads. I thought “now is the time”. My first trip was 3 loads, second trip was 2 loads and my 3rd trip was one load. now unfortunately I was only able to do 2 runs that day. the next morning I did my last run. after that I thought to myself “this really turned out good for a start”.

In Wednesday, February 16th, 2022 I got called to job 8 days later. I rented a 9ft cargo van from uhaul. I showed up and it was 4 loads. I thought “now is the time once again”. My first trip was 2 loads and my second trip was 2 loads. I got that done in 3 hours. I got a second job later that day. I showed and it was only 1 load. 1 trip, 1 load. I got that done in 1 hour. I did 2 jobs, 5 loads in 3 trips, finished in 4 hours. I thought to my self “this really turned out good for a second time”.

In Sunday, April 10th, 2022 I got called to a moving job. I rented a 2021 Chevy Silverado single cab pick up truck. I also hired my mom to help me as well. I showed up and I though “now is the time once again but with a special employee”. A full days work well done I must say. I thought to my self “this really turned out good for a third time”.

The past 5 years have been interesting.

Now for those of you wondering I have a second job delivering magazines for Island Fisherman for life in which I’ve been doing for over 4 years since 2018. I still kept on doing that up until September of this year during the last run of the season. due to the inflations and gas prices it’s become hard. I hope in 2023 I can start up again. I’d like to thank my family, friends and clients for their support over the past 5 years. But I have to say that I am definitely looking forward to next year and the years on after that😎🤑🛠🏘🏦🏙🚚🚛⛽️🗺🛣💰💸💵💳⚒⛓⚙️🔩🔧🇨🇦🇨🇦.
