To every traveller impacted by recent travel disruptions:

While the disruption originated entirely outside our own airport operations, we have activated our service recovery measures and we are working closely with our airline partner to reaccommodate travellers whose travel plans were impacted by recent disruptions in order to support their return of service as quickly as possible.

At YYB North Bay Airport, we're focused on doing everything we can to support local travellers every step of their journey.

That's why we've deployed our YYB Travel Disruption Relief and Recovery Program which:

- 🆓🅿️ provides immediate stress and fee relief for eligable WestJet travellers who opted to park and fly from North Bay - providing extended parking at no additional charge until you return (details available at yyb.ca);

- ⏰🛬 prepares to extend our terminal hours of operations as required to be present anytime the airline is prepared to resume service on short notice in order to welcome those travellers who were effected;

- 👥🙋‍♂️ensures additional airport and local stakeholder staff are available in our terminal to assist with the expected greater number of arriving and departing travellers coming to the airport during recovery and scheduled flights this week; and,

- ☎️📧 expanded our customer support efforts during recovery operations - both directly with the airline and travellers to assist where we can at the airport.

Local service. Local support. Local airport.

We may not see wildfire smoke overhead every day, as unfortunately some communities are, but wildland fires continue to be a reality across our region. With the announcement on the weekend of North Bay 35 (NOR035), local wild fire events have now reached 35 this year.

While fire departments remain busy responding across the region, the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources North Bay Fire Management Headquarters at the YYB North Bay Airport continues to support wildland fire operations in many ways.

And remember: not every aircraft or helicopter involved in these missions is painted yellow. Many different aviation resources, companies and agencies work behind the scenes and on the front lines, each playing an important role in keeping communities like ours safe.

🚨 Friday = Flight Day! ✈️

With WestJet Fridays at YYB keep making history in North Bay, with record-breaking passengers departing and arriving on a single aircraft. Could today be the day we break both records again?

The Royal Air Force Red Arrows are coming to North Bay! ✈️🇬🇧

YYB is proud to welcome the RAF's world-renowned aerobatic display team and their amazing 11x Hawk T1 aircraft for a routine technical stop on their journey home to England.
