Ellusive's Journeys was started because it was tiring coming home from "group trips" more drained than when you left.
You know the kind. Forty strangers herded off a bus. A schedule so packed you never actually see anything. Hotels chosen by spreadsheet, not by soul. Everyone polite, no one connected. You take the photos, you check the boxes, and somewhere over the ocean on the way home you realize you saw a place but you never met it.
So we built the opposite. We cap our trips at 10 people.
Not because it's trendy, but because that's the number where a group stops being a crowd and starts being a table.
Where the host remembers your name.
Where you sit down to a meal cooked by someone who actually lives there, in a home, not a venue.
Where there's room in the day to wander, to nap, to follow the side street that looked interesting.
Where you arrive a solo traveler and somehow leave with people you're still texting a year later.
That's the whole idea. Smaller, slower, realer.
Travel that feels like belonging somewhere instead of passing through it.
We'll be sharing the trips, the people, and the places we go over the coming weeks. The honest version, logistics and all.
But first... we'd love to hear from you.
What's the worst group travel experience you've ever had and what did you wish it had been instead?
Drop it below. We're reading every one.
