Some warmer weather is here again for those who haven’t put their garlic in the ground yet. Our garlic is in but I’ll be replanting some horseradish root back in the ground this week.

Took some time today to harvest our horseradish. I was able can 13 jars for the winter.
We will be extending the horseradish plot from 3x5’ to approximately 8x12’. All the extra roots will be planted again to grow into new plants for another harvest.

We completed soil samples this year and were able to amend the soil to provide the best home for our garlic to grow.

Everyone must have fall fever. Garlic is going out the door and being picked up daily now. All garlic is now 15% off.

I keep a fake snake in the vegetable garden to keep the chipmunks out. I would often forget to move it but this year my puppy did the job for me. I never knew where she’d move it too. Thankfully I’m not afraid of snakes. I guess my living room is it’s winter home.
