1️⃣ Consider the format.

2️⃣ Ensure your resume passes the ATS test: Send and upload your resume as a word document, it is more friendly when using the ATS format.

3️⃣ Focus on quantifying your achievement. Companies want to see achievements to see you took the initiative to produce a positive result. Showcase an actual percentage rate.

4️⃣ Tailor your resume to fit your job description. The more specific, the better you are.

5️⃣ Proofread...again and again.

6️⃣ Be patient and persistent.

We wish you the best of luck in your next job interview.

During a recession, businesses are forced to reduce hiring, lay off workers and reduce working hours. If a recession does hit, tens of thousands of Canadians will become unemployed, or have reduced working hours. How to prepare:

1️⃣ Reduce spending on non-essential items immediately.

2️⃣ Pay off your Credit Card debt.

3️⃣ Have additional sources of income.

4️⃣ Always invest and get more education.

5️⃣ Pay close attention to the bill payments and avoid paying late charges.

6️⃣ Network with professionals.

7️⃣ If possible, try to move into a recession-proof job.

Even if you plan, recessions can be terrifying to live through. But the good news is recessions don’t last forever. The only thing we can do is a plan for the worst and hope for the best.
